I don't know how much time has passed since I last saw a CAD panel that wasn't Loss.

You should crosspost to c/wotshow as well. The wot community here on Lemmy is basically nonexistent, it doesn't hurt to try to reach as many people as possible.

I use Summit and I've set up a multicommunity with every wot community under the sun, and I still only get a notification once in a blue moon lol

I was kind of disappointed by it, to be honest. It's PDK in name only, it's more of a revamped Drakewarden. Which, honestly, is cool as fuck and I'm happy that it's finally playable, but I'm sad that it had to replace the PDK instead of being its own subclass.

Maybe I'm biased because I love the PDK so much that I homebrewed my own version and I've been playing it for two years in our campaign lol

All of us should strive to be more like Leon Chang, 26, of Brooklyn. Happy, accomplished, carefree.

Fucking finally.

Oh damn, I don't know why I thought it was a Capcom IP. Thanks for reminding me.

I was hoping for this after the Resident Evil bundle from a few months ago.

The way Dino Crisis 2 managed to turn the tankiness of the RE/Dino Crisis gameplay into an action-packed shooter is stunning to me and I love that game dearly. Replayed it last year and it holds up surprisingly well!

Now let's hope for a Pararisite Eve GOG release! :D

Reminds me of that one time Cicero had a dispute with a political rival, who kept asking him "who's your father?" because Cicero was not of noble birth. Cicero simply answered "In your case, your mother has made it difficult to answer such a question".

You only exist in my nightmares, Clippy.

I honestly just think that most people have bad text analysis skills/lack of proper reading comprehension. The book is told by the perspective of a specific character, and that character says "the sky is green", so people believe it because they can't detach the POV from what they are reading. It happens every time, such as people believing that the Space Marines are the good guys, or that the fascist dictatorship in Starship Trooper isn't that bad after all.

The movies whitewashed a lot of bad stuff, and I still felt creeped out by them when I was a kid. I'm happy that some people is finally coming around to understanding it now that JKR is more vocal of her outlandish political views.

Racism and bigotry is so intrinsic to the world building of HP, that I find it kind of impossible to completely avoid it even by pirating the game to give no money to JKR and her allies.

It wasn't just a few thousand votes in key states that won Trump the presidency. Harris lost millions of votes across the entirety of the US - Such big numbers would be statistically impossible to fake and tamper with.

At some point you have to shift the blame onto Biden and Harris. Democrats could and should've won if they actually cared to present a candidate people actually cared about.

Explanation: I can't write anything more savage than the Wikipedia summary for this guy:

He is one of the classic historical examples of men who have managed to survive very dangerous circumstances by constantly shifting their allegiances. Beginning his career under Julius Caesar, he allied with his assassin Decimus Junius Brutus in 44 BC, then with the Second Triumvirate in 43 BC, joining Mark Antony in 40 BC, and deserting him for Octavian in 32 BC.

You can joke about him if you want, but he is the only one of these three who survived the civil war and died peacefully, so, in the end, I guess that he won?

This OST has lived rent free in my mind for the past 25 years. It randomly plays out in my head when I wake up in the morning and I hate and I love it.

Copy-pasting u/marimbaguy715 from the Reddit page discussion:

For those who don't want to read it, it's fairly similar to the Tasha's class. Changes include:

  • Magical Tinkering crafts distinct items from a list
  • Infusions/Replicate Magic Item has changed in flavor but is very similar in function. You now no longer infuse non-magical items to make them magical, you're always replicating magic items. But all of the old infusions are included as magic items (if they don't already exist as magic items, like +1 Armor for Enhanced Defense). The major change here is that there are way more potential magic items you can make, as it gives you broad categories to pick from (e.g., at level 6, you can make any Uncommon Armor/Wand/Weapon that isn't cursed).
  • Flash of Genius now lets you know if a check or save succeeded or failed before you use it
  • Spell-Storing Item can go up to level 3 now, rather than level 2
  • Soul of Artifice's Cheat Death was changed slightly, and you no longer are going to get a +6 to all saves (instead you get +1d6 to all ability checks)
  • Alchemists' get more potions, those potions are Bonus Actions, the Alter Self potion is gone (replaced by a "choose any other effect" in the random table), the subclass has a few numerical boosts, and at 15th level can cast Tasha's Bubbling Cauldron 1/day for free
  • Armorer has a new option called Dreadnought that does more damage, has reach, can make you Large (and later huge), and can push around creatures. Other options got numerical buffs.
  • Artillerists' Eldritch Cannon can choose their option each turn rather than being stuck on one option for the whole fight
  • Battle Smiths' Steel Defender got numerical tweaks
  • All subclasses can craft items related to their subclass faster (Alchemist - Potions, Artillerist - Wands, Armorer - Armor, Battle Smith - Weapons)

It didn't get sweeping changes, but since it's a recent class I don't think that should be too surprising. I'm hoping this means we might see a return to Eberron soon, but it's equally possible this just gets put in the first Xanathar/Tasha-esque book.

Text version:

Magic-averse Staff (Wondrous item)
Weapon (Quarterstaff), Rare (requires attunement)
This weapon, with its unassuming appearance, stands as a silent testament to resilience and serves as a steadfast companion for those who choose to tread less travelled paths.

  • Weightless. This weapon has the Light and Finesse property, as the wood it's carved from is very sturdy, but also unusually light.
  • Pierce Magic. Attacks made with this weapon bypass the Armor Class bonus derived from magical sources, such as magical armour or the Shield spell.
  • Arcane Scourge. If you hit a celestial, a fiend, or a creature that has the Spellcasting trait with this weapon, you roll one additional damage die.
  • Spell Breaker. A creature hit by this weapon has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws that it makes to maintain its concentration on a spell.
  • Fizzle Magic. The staff has three charges. While wielding this staff, you can expend one charge to cast Counterspell (only if you are one of the targets of the spell, or you are included in the area of effect of the spell) or two charges to cast Antimagic Field (no material components needed). Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. The staff regains all charges daily at dusk.

Cursed. While attuned to this item, you cannot cast spells or be attuned to other magical items. If this curse is broken, the wood from which this quarterstaff is carved rots away, resulting in the destruction of the item.
