Gardening? If you don't have any possibility maybe there's a community garden nearby. Sourdough bread? Fermenting stuff? Learning an instrument?

Korean letters are insanely easy to learn, the whole purpose of their alphabet was so even the stupidest farmer could learn it within a week.

Opening line of Neuromancer doesn't make much sense any more "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.”

It's like a small pitcher with a movable filter, you put in the ground coffee, hit water, stir, wait, push down the filter with the grounds, pour off the coffee with most of the ground staying in the French press.

You could try to pickle them? The recipe I found uses 2tbsp sugar , 2tbsp salt, 1tbsp vinegar , black pepper and bay leaves for 1l water and 1kg of mushrooms. You cook the mushrooms for half an hour, then boil the brine as well, mix the mushrooms with the syrup, cook together for 15' and put them to jars. I haven't tried it yet, though.

We have a perfectly functioning iPad1 (2?) and a somewhat younger Android tablet. There are no OS updates, you can't install any new software, and on most cases even browsing is broken.

I'm shocked I had to scroll this far for the first fluxbox/Enlightenment/windowmaker user

Did nobody really question the usability of language models in designing war strategies?

I'm visiting for two weeks and roaming prices are insane, I'm considering getting a prepaid SIM-card. Can I easily grab one in any shop, e.g. at the airport/Walmart? What are the prices? Unlimited data would be nice, but I can survive with a few GBs too, I'd probably need it mainly for navigation.
