Film everything for a start. There are apps that automatically upload as you film so they can't just grab your phone and delete it.

I was imagining a scenario where that wouldn't be possible, where the main drive would be offline and the equipment and ressources on board wouldn't be meant for such complicated repairs. It's hard to convey in two sentences and I could only really slip in the word "defunct".

That being said, so much time does really give possibility to it or at least a rescue. I should have picked a smaller time-frame, like 20. It makes his action all the more horrible as well, since three generations is a chance at life while 20 years is just a death sentence.

They killed him because of his strongly worded blog post.

Same here but I figure the rates are going to be really cheap so I can just use up my vacation days and travel to wherever it hits.

I have three generations worth of time before this defunct ship's orbit sends us straight into the sun, and I don't plan on spending it alone.

Brain computers are super cool and have huge implications not just for entertainment but for accessibility. Not trying to defend a nazi here, just saying we need to separate the nazi from the tech. Electric cars, space rockets and plugging into people's brains aren't necessarily poison just because he touched it essentially.

It's funny in contrast to how high budget super bowl commercials usually are imo. Obviously the person and what's being sold firmly puts it in the disgusting category.

If we can insure crimes all the way up to genocide, wheres my luigi insurance policy? Is the annual price dependant on the crime?

Absolutely insane.

This is the superbowl ad. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4eR--0vYHGc

The ad would actually be funny if it wasn't for the nazi shit, jfc. The shirt is the only thing being sold and it's literally just a swastika on a white shirt. I don't even want to post an image of it.

You guys both posted it within a few seconds of each other judging by my app updating the time. Impressive.

I don't need a payout for this, the gods can just owe me a favor.

I choose to blame the ones at the helm who ignored their base and chose to run a pro genocidal platform thinking they had an easy win, and not the ones conflicted about said genocide.

Pointing at a scapegoat instead of the ones who took the decision and still stand by it serves nothing.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Decoupling America’s Artificial Intelligence Capabilities from China Act of 2025’’.

SEC. 3. PROHIBITIONS ON IMPORT AND EXPORT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE OR GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

(a) PROHIBITION ON IMPORTATION.—On and after the date that is 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the importation into the United States of artificial intelligence or generative artificial intelligence technology or intellectual property developed or produced in the People’s Republic of China is prohibited.

Currently, China has the best open source models in text, video and music generation.

Summary:

The launch of Chinese AI application DeepSeek in the U.S. has raised national security concerns among officials, lawmakers, and cybersecurity experts. The app quickly became the most downloaded on Apple's store, disrupting Wall Street and causing a record 17% drop in Nvidia's stock. The White House announced an investigation into the potential risks, with some lawmakers calling for stricter export controls to prevent China from leveraging U.S. technology.

Beyond economic impact, experts warn DeepSeek may pose significant data security risks, as Chinese law allows government access to company-held data. Unlike TikTok, which stores U.S. data on Oracle servers, DeepSeek operates directly from China, collecting personal user information. The app also exhibits censorship, blocking content on politically sensitive topics like Tiananmen Square. Some analysts argue that, as an open-source model, DeepSeek may not be as concerning as TikTok, but critics worry its widespread adoption could advance China’s influence through curated information control.

It's a fun little game where you play as a tourist in Japan. You score points by completing scenery sets, collecting food and souvenirs, things of that nature.

I particularly like how it doesn't pit people against each other but still leaves room for intricacies and competitiveness anyways. The culture showcase and overall design is really nice as well.

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this post, I'm just curious to see what everybody else thinks.

It seems like a lot of communities (outside lemmy) have had enough and are banning twitter links after Elons recent Nazi salute.

With the recent talks of UAPs because of the current events over the UK and New Jersey, I'd love to hear your experiences.

With the last of his strength, my ten year old leaned in and whispered "Deny, Defend, Depose".

But when it was clear the names matched those of deceased clients, panic set in as duplicates of the CEOs own policy started to appear next.
