And how do we do that?

Equality and equity are not the same thing, systemic issues are baked into our laws and policies. Mostly geared at the lower socioeconomic status members of society.

Which tend to be minority members due to the very same systemic issues.

Some people need a different sized ladder to get to the same position.

Edit: an extra word

If you don’t want to click it, he spray paints “ free money “ on the side of the swimming pool, and then begins to put stacks of money in the disgusting pool and the financial business man in their suits still choose to wade through the muck for the money.

If you have access to the app DeepL (iOS App Store in the US for me), i really enjoy using it when I’m in a pinch!

Been learning Italian for over a year now and it’s going super well.

My strategy involves:

Daily Duolingo (335 day steak and I try to at least do the daily challenges and stay in their obsidian league), Anki for vocab and other things, Italian music (rap and their version of folk/americana), translating La Divina Commedia to English (slowly), Italian films, and my phone has been in Italian for a long time.

I also like to read SCPs in Italian because the format makes it easy to guess if I don’t know what’s going on.

I’m going on a trip to Italy in August as well!

They are making every single aspect of life more expensive.

If you make less than 300k, you are a peasant of our times. The proposed tax plan for this administration is pretty clear about that.

This might end up real

It’s dangerous to view America as a monolith

It’s so much more complicated than “Americans secretly bad, Americans too dumb too…”. a 40-50 year long effort of erosion by the wealthy, Christian elite, Republican governance, Gerry meandering, single issue voting, and so many other factors.

It’s damn class war behind a curtain. The rest of the world is susceptible to the same playbook

First point in favor:

I actually think Rockstar is one of the true AAA studios that can justify this kind of pricing, they have such a huge dev team for rockstar flagships and on top of that the quality is unmatched throughout the gaming industry.

We are not talking about Bethesda here, RDR2 was basically a masterpiece.

Counterpoint: they also make more than enough money from GTA online to subsidize the base game cost. They will make many many times over what they spent on game dev and marketing with their online pricing model. So it’s just a further money grab really.

Let’s go with wage theft and federal minimum wage stagnation
