Eat a diet with hardly any fibre before you go. The last time I was bunged up for 4 days I had eaten a lot of meat and not enough veggies in comparison. It'll either help, or you'll just have a very big poop idk.

I would recommend lessening your fibre as a minimum if you must though!

It's quite difficult to catch up with various question threads on DATATERM at the moment so I would like to open this thread for our community members who are new to DATATERM and the fediverse/threadiverse who may have a question relating to the community or how things work around here.

One of the admins or a user should be able to come and help you! We'll try and answer your questions to the best of our ability.

My sympathies to you, (not that you need it but) it sounds like a really rough time! I don't know if I'd have the energy to deal with adult tantrums when I have a migraine so I completely understand and don't blame you for taking time for yourself now that you can.

A fellow mod informed me that about it as I was laying in bed. Reddit sent a message to the mod team and after 1 hour demoded me. I didn't even had time to see it, never-mind respond to it.

Looks like we rattled reddit enough to start shooting. There goes all that fancy talk about our protest not affecting them much.

Just FYI for now. It's late here so I'll see how we proceed tomorrow.

I have this same problem haha. I'm a little bit stretched over the various instances for now. I've only just set up the refold community which is for all languages but it's based off learning things from netflix, youtube, books and games (videogames and boardgames).

I searched up learn spanish and found "learning spanish for deplorable tankies"...yeah... no thanks. I think I may have to set one up afterall!

Also, I'm sorry to hijack your thread /u/DVD! I'll crosspost your community to my language learning community as I know there are some people on my instance who wish to learn German.

Isn't apollo free? Am I missing something here? I have no idea what he's getting at. If a dev is making your service B E T T E R then leave them be or just make a better app! They're bringing people to his site. Apollo should be charging reddit at this rate!

Hi everyone, I've opened up an unofficial refold community on my home instance.

Refold is a method which consists of using immersion for language learning and language acquisition. It can be used with many other methods.

If you're curious about it, i'd love if you'd come and check it out because it's a ghost town right now. I'm connect with other language communities too.

If things pick up I may look for another mod or two. Thanks!

Lack of Overall Karma Count (Less Pressure?) (dataterm.digital)
 

There are upvotes for posts and upvotes for comments but on lemmy you're not reminded of an overall running karma total. The lack of this count makes me feel like there's a lot less pressure for every post or comment to be an absolute banger, witty, smart or something along those lines.

On reddit I would lurk a lot because I was none of those things but I feel like I can engage more now.

What do you think? Do you think it's a good thing, a bad thing or perhaps do you feel indifferent?
