They updated the display. How could that not be ‘visually noticeable’?

People wearing smart glasses should be shamed.

Also, vaccines work in the exact same way as exposure to live viruses. The difference is that the vaccine can’t cause an infection because it’s either a dead or disabled version of the virus. Anti-vax people don’t seem to get this.

And, some people think that their body’s reaction to the vaccine means that the vaccine made them sick. It’s normal to have flu symptoms with the flu vaccine. Your body fights it the same way That’s intentional. It’s how your immune system builds a defense against the virus.

“Excuse me, I have to go sphincter a loaf.”

I don’t know. It just doesn’t have the right ring to it.

If you can scam your parents, you can scam anyone. That’s how you know you’re cut out for sales.

Some of them were the victims. The older brother molested sisters.

I’m certain all of them have been abused in some way. So, there’s 19 kids that suffer the rest of their life from normalized abuse and/or repeat the cycle.

Somehow, the society they live in just looks the other way until the abuse leaks out of their enclave.

Huh. I wasn’t going to buy it at all. Now, I’m not sure. Damn.

Amazing how much they will try to bend reality to their conception rather than the other way around. It’s a mental illness

To people that wealthy, $2350 would be nothing. No rich person is keeping their US citizenship because of that fee. And, they’re avoiding taxes just fine as US citizens.

More likely, they want to make it easy for liberals to flee hoping it will help secure a majority for them.

But, if you’re a CEO, and lawyer tells you, “no, the contract is solid. Honor it,” what are you to do? Why, ask an agreeable LLM for an answer that conforms to your world view because, obviously, you’re right because you’re the CEO.

I loved Subnautica. I’ve replayed it more than any game I own. I got it for free from Epic (the only way I get games from Epic). I bought it for Switch. I bought Below Zero. The franchise was shaping to be a “here, take my money” deal.

I don’t want Subnautica 2. I mean, I want a Subnautica 2 not Krafton Subnautica 2.

I reserve some blame for the original owners/devs. If they hadn’t sold out, if they had followed more of a Hello Games model, they could’ve coasted indefinitely churning out cool games to loyal fans.

I locked up a vampire. While chained he was struck with melancholy. I released him but kept him locked in his cell. I had to deconstruct the chain to get him actually released. So, alone and struck with melancholy he wraps himself in the chain that bound him.

As evidence, the lawsuit cites unnamed "courageous whistleblowers" who allege that WhatsApp and Meta employees can request to view a user's messages through a simple process, thus bypassing the app's end-to-end encryption. "A worker need only send a 'task' (i.e., request via Meta's internal system) to a Meta engineer with an explanation that they need access to WhatsApp messages for their job," the lawsuit claims. "The Meta engineering team will then grant access -- often without any scrutiny at all -- and the worker's workstation will then have a new window or widget available that can pull up any WhatsApp user's messages based on the user's User ID number, which is unique to a user but identical across all Meta products."

"Once the Meta worker has this access, they can read users' messages by opening the widget; no separate decryption step is required," the 51-page complaint adds. "The WhatsApp messages appear in widgets commingled with widgets containing messages from unencrypted sources. Messages appear almost as soon as they are communicated -- essentially, in real-time. Moreover, access is unlimited in temporal scope, with Meta workers able to access messages from the time users first activated their accounts, including those messages users believe they have deleted." The lawsuit does not provide any technical details to back up the rather sensational claims.

On the web, I see no downvote buttons on posts. In third party apps, downvoting does nothing. This affects all instances.

Comments are not affected, just posts.

Any idea what causes this?

The past couple of weeks I’ve noticed a lot of sites redirect to report.error-report.com if you have an ad blocker. Reader mode is broken, too. The sites constantly reload when in reader mode. Is this a new anti-ad-blocker technique that my ad blocker just hasn’t caught up with, yet?
