A guide to raising birth rates from article.

Increase these : libraries, public schools, public parks, and public broadcasting

Decrease these: worried about whether he will lose his job,or if our kids’ school will lose funding, or if our neighbors will be deported, or if our gay and trans friends will be stripped of more of their rights, or if the air quality will get so bad that we will all be forced into being stay-at-home everyones,

Brilliant article that highlights many issues. (There are other issues, but this is a good list.)

Both kinds exist.

It is helpful to have both.

Tapes beat spinning disks.

Here is a source I didn't read: https://www.howtogeek.com/858426/whats-the-best-way-to-store-data-for-decades-or-centuries/

My actual source is "used to professional care about longevity".

One can flip the box over in the store and see how empty the box is.

Good news. Only several inches of snow slows traffic in MN, and only until the plows hit it. It is an accepted reason to stay home when the plows are not yet out.

Also, I have been colder inside in warm places than in cold places. (In cold places, the doors must block the wind when closed.)

Interesting it is not EU citizenship...

Edit:

During the 12 months leading up to March, more than 6,000 US citizens have applied to either become British subjects or to live and work in the country indefinitely

The houses are warm and insulated (in general). The clothing keeps one warm between buildings. Friendly people.

Snow is around for less than 6 months a year.
