What are your favourites? I have really liked:

  • How to talk to kids so kids will listen and listen so that kids will talk

I think it's appropriate for all ages

  • Adult children of emotionally immature parents

Maybe a bit more specific, but it's likely most people have at least one emotionally immature parent.

I'm in a very similar situation. The NDP and Green seem unqualified and the Liberal is lackluster.

I have to admit. I did the same last year. I could not understand why Poilievre was so popular and everyone hated Trudeau so badly. I thought that there must be something funky going on with the polls.

It's nice to see that secularism is now the default for Canadian politics.

I love my offbranded Bell subsidiary substitute! It gives me the illusion of choice so I can feel like I am not funding Bell while still using the internet.

In all seriousness, where are we on other options? PublicMobile got bought out by Telus. Any non big telecom options for phone and internet?

Can't see the link. Redirects to "yew-tube"?

Less of a left wing thing and more of a pearl clutching holier than though vibe.

Good shower thought and an interesting angle on boycotting the US. You just to use it as an excuse to cut out their products and call them dumb for still using such an arcane system all at the same time.

It does certainly rhyme with what Elon doea with Tesla stock and dogecoin, but this time its with the entire economy of the US.

At the same time, it also seems like we are inching towards normalization of relations with the US, so I really hope this keeps up.

Damn, that sucks. I didn't realize measles was getting that bad. Hopefully the kids that got it are doing ok.

If you want a 100% Canadian portfolio, I would do some mix of ZCN and ZAG. Both are 100% Canadian from BMO. If you want international diversification without the US you can use VIU. 60/20/20 ZCN/ZAG/VIU would be a portfolio that heavily prioritizes Canada with reasonable diversification without investing at all in the US. (Which, from the title and political climate, I assume you might be looking for.)

He's mostly just raising taxes on Americans without using the word tax.

Any suggestions for paid one time purchase apps on the Google play store?

I haven't seen a thread on this in a while. I have been going with top day for a while, but it can be hit or miss. Other sorts don't seem to display as good in terms of balancing quality and quantity. What is your preferred sort for your main feed?

Edit: Realizing that the people who sort new commented before the hot/top/active people, haha

I feel like the CPC is trying to import the American constant election news cycle to Canada.

The first thing that comes to mind is a big plastic bin filled with burnt burgers for 4 for a dollar.

Edit: I guess I was thinking more prepared/restaurant food.

What financial services do you use? (self.personalfinancecanada)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by MacroCyclo to c/personalfinancecanada

I'm curious what products and services everyone uses. I like trying out new services, but it seems like the big banks are pretty effective at squashing competition.

I'll go first: Chequing - BMO Savings - Wealthsimple Investing - Questrade with Passiv Credit cards - BMO, Costco, Amazon

I have tried Brim (credit card) and Koho (kind of a chequing account), but eventually dropped them because they couldn't effectively replace BMO.

I'm interested to know everyone's experiences with their banks and other financial service providers.

Edit: This thread has been amazing! Thanks for all the replies!

Why is this sub just CBC news stories? Does a bot add them all? They are mostly empty with no comments. Makes for a strange feed.

Edit: I think I just need to figure out which way to sort my feed. Sorting by hot gives me almost all CBC.

Edit 2: CBC is great. I am commenting on the state of c/Canada, not the quality of CBC
