I know this is mostly a shit post, but if you're ever working on anything that has the slightest ability to maim, electrocute, etc use lock out tag out procedures. Industrial accidents are real, and can take someone from this world in a heartbeat. Stay safe nerds!

I thought the recruit was so much better. Was sad to see it axed.

I always thought the timing on events surrounding that was super sus. 1st Bernie tricks congress into giving people a weekly check. Que the powers that be clutching their pearls and decrying "nobody wants to work anymore!" Next we have one of the largest influxes of immigrants we've ever had, with the border more or less flung open. Lots of cheap willing labor. Lord forbid American workers get a leg up. And once again we're fighting anything but a class war.

Edit: don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on anyone who showed up looking for a better life. I hate the powers that be scheming to keep the price of labor low, scheming to sow discord and xenophobia in a crass and clumsy reaction to a huge swath of our population not needing their peon style economic arrangement for a few mere weeks.

Nice use of random word capitalization in the midst of your exquisitely insane rant. Have you ever considered being president of anything? Get a spray tan and the sky's the limit friend!

I just became a city bus driver a few months ago. It's not the most exciting job there ever was. I'm in a smaller Midwestern city, so we don't deal with nearly the amount of bs (violent drug addicts and or mentally ill people) that bigger metro areas get. The pay is decent, not great but enough. The benefits are top notch though. Good pension, best health plan I've ever had.

Owning that car should result in an instant prison sentence.

Reno 911 IMHO is one of the best television shows out there.

Sounds like Wisconsin

Right!? Don't get me wrong, fuck Nazis. But their uniforms were on point. This spray tanned fat fuck we've got is just embarrassing on every level.

Ripped from [email protected] no idea who the original artist was. They are talented AF though!

Keeping with the theme of early aughts hip-hop I'm seeing here

10 of the last 10 years were the hottest on record. It's time. I know so many people that will give lip service to the environment and then think nothing of taking multiple flights per year on the flimsiest of pretexts.

And as all too often happens, people go to poorer countries where they get waited on hand and foot, and then act like they're doing some giant favor to the locals. All too often these tourist sights end up being an unmitigated natural disaster, not to mention locking the locals out of their own back yard.

And then they'll turn around and claim they're "helping the local economy" trying to justify it. It's colonialism by another name. If they paid fair wages to the workers these vacations would become much more expensive, perhaps prohibitively so.

And wtf is wrong with you, you can't relax in your own region? Gonna cook the planet because you can't be happy and relax in your own hemisphere. Y'all need to chill it with the air travel!

The wiki says it was transferred to Europe via the middle east. It seems obvious the Arabic numerals we use today are so much easier to work with than Roman numerals.

Was there a noticeable uptick in trade simply because bookkeeping became so much easier? Was there a noticeable uptick in the complexity and pervasiveness of monied, as opposed to in kind, daily trade in all levels of society?

It seems like the humble zero hit the scene and next thing you know the Renaissance is getting under way.

I left this pic in a comment on another post, but she's so cute I figured it deserved its own post.

It starts getting warm and she wants in and out dozens of times a day.

She had to get shaved after a tree sap incident.

Her fur was getting too clumped up. Think she got into some tree sap or something.
