Next time cum on the underside of a glass table and see if the suction is enough to make her stick to it.

No. The story I believe you're refering to has been admitted to having been false by the very person who originated it. The correction just never stuck and people continue to spread the false version even to this day.

Did Elon Musk Turn Off Starlink Access in Crimea To Disrupt Ukrainian Attack?

It wasn’t enabled in Crimea in the first place. The author misspoke/lied about in the book and has later admitted it.

U.S. sanctions to Russia forbid the use of Starlink. This includes crimea and the occupied territories. That’s why it wasn’t enabled.

To clarify on the Starlink issue: the Ukrainians THOUGHT coverage was enabled all the way to Crimea, but it was not. They asked Musk to enable it for their drone sub attack on the Russian fleet. Musk did not enable it, because he thought, probably correctly, that would cause a major war.

And before someone points out the ‘cause major war’ things, those are Walters words, not Elon’s. Musk said “It would make SpaceX explicitly complicit in a marjor act of war and conflict escalation” He later also added that had he been contacted by the US officials and asked to enable it he would, but they didn’t.

I was being facetious, but I actually get your point now - and yeah, I agree.

Average user needs their computer mainly as a device to run a web browser. Mac does that the most reliably. This seems objectively true to me.

If they're a nerd, then either Linux or Windows depending on what kind of nerd they are.

Windows for gaming.

A milk is the result of the process of milking

It can produce other fluids as well.

Being around people while high gives me anxiety unless they're high too.

Human living outdoors on a field 24/7 would also be much more likely to get hit by a lightning.

I guess your universal truths override my lived subjective experience then.

I was wrong. I just thought I liked MacOS better but actually it sucks donkey balls.

I switched from a gaming PC, so it's not about performance. The PC was objectively more powerful, but the user experience on Mac was simply better thanks to the OS.

Basically, the difference felt the same as me comparing my well-kept custom-built PC to a €300 supermarket PC full of junk and bloatware that I'd have to clean up at a relative's place.

I just realized the other day that I've only replaced the wipers on my truck once - when I bought it six years ago - and never since. They're still perfectly fine.

Probably has something to do with keeping it in a garage tent so it's mostly protected from the sun and freezing. I bet ice is what destroys them the most - especially everything you do to de-ice them besides just melting it.

I have an almost 10-year-old MacBook Pro, and I gotta say - of all the tech I've ever owned, it's hands down the most hassle-free experience I've ever had. It might not be for power users, but for shitposting and watching YouTube videos it's been absolutely fantastic. It just works, and there's virtually never any issues with anything.

The only negative things I have to say about it have more to do with its age than it being a Mac.

I'm very intrigued by the Framework laptop, but I dunno - I might just get another Mac instead. Especially now that they've brought back the card reader, HDMI, and a proper keyboard.

After the phone call, I logged back into DayZ and continued gaming in my underwear while enjoying my 7th coffee.

Edit: How come post about a partition I did in 3 days outperforms a post about bathroom remodel I worked at for 2 months, lol.

I just bought a new 60 cm bubble level from a relatively reputable brand - Empire - and I had to go through six of them in the store before I found one that was accurate. I own three longer ones, two of which have been miscalibrated since the day I got them. The third one would have been as well, but luckily I checked it before buying.

It would be so easy to just add a small adjustment screw for calibration. I don’t understand why they don’t do that. Even the more expensive ones I’ve seen don’t have one. I’ve developed serious trust issues because of this.

Also, in case you didn’t know, you can check the accuracy by rotating the level 180 degrees and seeing whether the bubble stays in the same place.

Something, that if you found out the actual truth about, you'd feel like you knew all along but didn't just want to accept it?

No politics please.

In the summer time I try and get more creative and when ever possible I'll climb onto a roof or go by the water for example.

Except when I'm working for this one particular elderly couple. I don't even pack my lunch because they always cook for me.

Edit: Done

I'm a self-employed contractor and this was the biggest job I've done so far. I guess this still counts as DIY since I did it all by myself? (except for the electric)

Tried to

I'm a self-employed contractor - been at it for almost 2 years now. Yesterday, a customer told me today was a national holiday, so I said, guess I'm taking the day off then.

Now I'm at home under a heated blanket, sipping coffee and watching YouTube videos. I still get this nagging feeling like I should call someone to say I'm not coming to work or something. It hasn't quite sunk in that I'm my own boss.

It just feels like I got laid off 2 years ago and never went back to work. Sure, I've been working the whole time, but it doesn't feel like it.

I even painted the cut ends as I happened to have a can of matching color.
