For me it's the fact that it has no karma system, so karma farmers or people who get big ego trips over having fake internet points have no home here, and with that comes the fact that there is no karma threshold stopping someone from posting in a community.

It can literally be anything, as long it relates to Lemmy.

This includes articles, ebooks, audiobooks, etc. If you do, what genres and which books?

Never said I used it before, but all I heard was that the malware came from the INSTALLER not the program itself. I’d like to confirm if this is the same with the docker image

I am aware that if you download it from their installer, it comes with some malware. But, I’m not sure if it’s also in the docker image. Also, I’d like to hear how the software and how you liked it.

I remember setting up borg with snapper 2 years ago but, I totally forgot about it when I switched distros a couple weeks ago. Worked so good, I forgot it’s existence.

I’ve already waited for someone to make these communities but, I just gave up and decided I’ll do it, but I’m done making them as these are the only communities I actually care about.

the selfhosted subs are specifically for selfhosting applications and the services that run with them like nginx, while this sub is geared more towards running a server at home (hardware, software, networking, builds). For having two selfhosted sub, i don't know why they did that but, I'm not a mod so I can't do anything.

It's a community based around the building, set up, and use of home servers for a variety of purposes. All discussion is welcome!

2FA Auth with Lemmy will give more security to the account, and having both a secret key, and qr code will allow any 2FA app to work with it.

Backup codes would also, be a plus with a button to export them into a .txt file.
