Yep, alcohol is definitely delicious. Getting drunk is fun too sometimes sure... but often I quite decide not to have another beer because despite wanting more of the flavor, I don't want more of the effects.

Can we ban 'skate stoppers' intended to physically injure skaters who attempt the feature too?

Like, if it's designed from the start to not be super skateable that's fine. But adding things after the spot is already established that will cause people to 'catch' and fall seems a bit messed up.

Thank you, sometimes I feel like the only person who thinks like this and it's refreshing to be reminded I'm not.

Similarly, I don't understand the human obsession with constantly increasing the world population... as if that isn't inherently a bad thing. Isn't it obvious a finite pizza of fixed size cut into more slices means less pizza per person?

I mean, one could argue that multi billion dollar American social media companies are also American media. And I definitely think 90%+ of people in North America with a newly found strong opinion about Israel/Palestine got this new position from Instagram posts and similar.

It's actually pretty interesting for anyone who has been following Israel/Palestine for the last few decades to watch as people move through the stages of discovering new bits of the history...and then posting about it the entire time as if they are experts with super valuable information to share. Even when they are contradicting their own post from like 2 days before.

That's the saddest part. They know the secrets, but lack the required accuracy.

My current and previous job were traditionally not open to men. So I'm quite thankful feminism works to break down such gender norms, and it absolutely benefited me.

I'm not going to list my specific jobs for privacy reasons, so here's a list of possibilities instead:

  • -Nurse
  • -Elementary School Teacher
  • -Emergency Dispatcher
  • -Wait staff/servers
  • -Flight attendant
  • -Full time parent (often called 'stay at home')

Those examples are actually lost sales though from earthquakes and stuff.

Whereas when I pirate 'Fast and Furious 37' there is no lost sale as I would never under any circumstances pay to watch it.

But I still don't really own it even if I have it physically since the license can be revoked, right?

Like, I get I could still watch it, sure...but it would be illegal if the license is revoked. So why would I deal with physical media at all since I can also just watch a downloaded torrent without licensing too. It's the same thing. Except one of them doesn't produce a bunch of plastic for literally no reason.

That's sort of my point.

The fact that some cities who have already banned short term rentals are still not affordable at all. While the details of the bans vary, cities include Paris, New York, and Amsterdam. None of which are cheap still.

I'm confident they will fold since there will be a fight. It's already started.
