I'm not sure what this does, is it basically a replacement attempt for currently closed driver aspects of the Steam Deck?

MX Linux is pretty good and pure Debian derived. Yes Ubuntu is trash. Derivatives are usually ok but still it's trash underneath in some regards.

I'm new lol. It certainly has potential. What will probably happen is there will be one instance of lemmy that branches off on its own, presents itself as a neutral reddit-like site, and when enough people get sick of reddit, they'll run there without even knowing it's part of fediverse. Although it may not be, because who knows if a politically neutral site would be allowed to overshadow the various extremist (and obsessed) political factions out there.

Or it could work out like discord, with everyone starting their own forum. "Cars and Trucks" forum "Retro gaming forum" some invite only some open to the public. Hard to really predict the future. But decentralized will certainly gain traction.

Nintendo charges $80 per game and will continue to do so for the next thousand years. Meanwhile they just have to have 50 people buy the game and they've already essentially made back what they paid her for her work forever. Sickening.
