I never said anything like that, but if that's your perception of it, then so be it.

If you want a commonality of the two situations separated by 50 years, both car companies in their own ways have tried to rationalize the problems to downplay them, because in all that time it's still cheaper to pay settlements and fines than to fix the core problems. That is true beyond the car industry.

A meme is only as good as what goes into it. And yes, I'll defend the facts over a silly meme that bends them to make it work.

Did I go overboard for just a meme, yeah, probably. I stand by what I said though, from a point of view of reality.

I wish that commenting would automatically upvote a post. It's far too late to fix the use of an upvote as approval of subject discussion and not just an agree arrow, but I often...no, I almost always forget to upvote the initial topic even after leaving a few paragraphs. One would hope whatever algorithm is used also considers activity and number of comments in a rating or suggesting it to others.

I read through the summary, and it sounds a lot like how evolutionary development is perceived by the layperson vs. how complex it really is, including the deception that we are at some high point. So the next question in my mind, and based on the summary the authors left to explore as the answer is probably a difficult one to find - are there paths that could have been traveled which didn't lead to similar messes like we find ourselves in? One assumption is always that capitalism and consumption and all that comes with them is inevitable. Maybe not? It would ruin this meme that I found very fitting for society, but that's again based on an inevitable conclusion to be true.

It was always speculated that the images were stolen or used in some malicious way and not sent from an actual Nicole as it is treated in the lighter commentary when they show up. That's the bad part of the whole thing, otherwise it would be an amusing spam because of its predictability. At least they are normal pictures (webcam hacks I suppose) and haven't gotten worse for her.

Handled Covid poorly as it spread, and was instrumental in undoing the tools to help stop such outbreaks developed initially by GWB and then by Obama. Oh, right, that's why he undid a lot of it. Out of spite, not out of sense. Mirrors more or less everything he's doing now.

Isn't fire not a thing itself, but the effect from a reaction?

He's just do an executive order to have them upgrade it up to the best economy in the world. Simple.

I have an older robot vacuum that has finally shown some age in its battery. The charger will charge for about 15 mins and then gets an error, but it's enough to do a decent vacuuming of the room if I charge then vacuum, then repeat once more. I can't leave it on the charger now due to the error repeating, so basically I run it dead until the next time.

So my question is, can I continue doing this since it works well enough, or is there potential problems/danger with the battery being at less capacity? I could buy a new battery, they aren't terrible in price, but if it works and is safe, why not continue what I'm doing until it completely gives out?
