Ouch!
WAQI is currently pulling 196 ug/m3 for Sudbury into my Home Assistant.
Out of curiosity, which AQ sensors did you pick up? A link would be great so I can see if they'd be compatible with HA.

That's interesting. Did a Jazz bar open up somewhere in Sudbury in the past couple years, or are you just a huge fan? Would be great to have a new haunt playing something different than every other bar in the region...
Adaptation is what you do when you've already failed to avoid causing the issue.
According to Carbon Brief, as of 2017 the region was already experiencing 1.8 C warming (https://www.carbonbrief.org/mapped-how-every-part-of-the-world-has-warmed-and-could-continue-to-warm/). From the climate atlas page linked in the article, it would appear things have worsened since (projected around 2.2 C).
We're lucky that a bit of warming helps some aspects in this region (ie. longer growing season), but there's a lot that we'll need to do to adapt to changes in the water cycle that comes from less snowmelt, increased freezing rain, changes in heatwave times/durations, etc.
From what I've read in the report, it's very light on the details of how the city will adapt to these changes. There are a lot of forming "working groups" to come up with ideas, but not a lot of real action.
Still, a step in the right direction is a step. So I'll take it, but we do need to get a bit of a move on here.
Good stuff. I love how it's grown and look forward to seeing more voices discuss the issues that arise.
I'm working on growing [email protected] myself, and have tried to limit to 1 or 2 posts per day, just to keep them coming and leave openings for other locals to step in, but without the same kind of response.
Perhaps I'm the one that needs to take on a more aggressive seeding technique...
I don't have an issue (I was replying to the previous post), especially as I do see value in seeding a community with posts. An empty community is a dead community.
However, it may be of more benefit to spread them out. After all, this is all federated. So anyone following the community from elsewhere (my prior reply was from a Mastodon account), they will receive a big wall of posts from this community all at once, but if they were to log in later in the day, they would see nothing (as it all posted earlier).
It would also allow other people to post something themselves and start a conversation in the post, as opposed to just an unexamined link.
Some might also see it as an attempt at spamming or karma farming (even though that no longer translates). Perhaps those thoughts may be something to consider.
Sounds good. Keep up the good work!
Definitely on OneSoccer. Can't wait to watch.
I'm down to participate.
I guess we would need to lay out some base rules, maybe create/platform some "parties", launch some sort of "election" or appointment process, and then develop issues to debate. It could be a an entertaining/interesting experiment, but it does need a certain critical mass to launch.
They're just over 2.7k right now, probably be over 3k by end of day.
I wouldn't expect our 1.1k to balloon nearly as quickly, but it will be nice to snag more Canadians from the reddit-exodus.
I included wrestling because it always seems like they're hitting each other in their sportsballs whenever I bother to tune in. ;)
This kind of gatekeeping is why Arsenal is more popular that Spurs across North America...
From what I'm seeing, these all need to be hardwired in, but maybe I'm just not digging far enough.
Is that correct?
