My work keyboard is almost like yours but without the 6th column on each side. Still fine to use if you use a proper key mapping. Mine is https://github.com/manna-harbour/miryoku

Did you reboot sometime while testing? Chances are that e.g. a new kernel or Nvidia driver version broke the current system and needs a reboot to fix it.
Ever tried asking in Ubuntu forums for help for Mint, Pop or any other derived distribution?
It might be toxic but I understand if people that donate their free time to help others get tired of being asked for help for problems that were caused by the offspring distribution. I did not follow it nowadays but back in the days this was the same with Manjaro which caused issues every now and then by holding back some upgrades.
They changed their slogan a while ago. Guess why...
Do you mean sandboxed?
Unfortunately Mozilla is going the enshittification route more and more. Or good in this case that the Firefox Phone did not take of.
Nice. Have fun with it!
Agreed. My answer was in the assumption that it's about desktop apps as the OP mentioned Electron.
I think I heared that lan-only mode means you need to transfer the files to print via SD card.
Go with one of the ready to use systems. Flatpak, Snap, AppImage. Snap is largely Ubuntu Ecosystem, Flatpak is independent. AppImage is an option if you do not need/want a Sandbox.
Stay away from Docker and LXC for this use case (graphical applications), they are much more work to get going.
Hmm, good question. I think it is no problem. From an electrical point of view I think it would make sense that the relais power cycles when the plug reboots after an update. But I have not yet seen it do it.
I took it as a basis and adapted it to my needs. It's for my travel keyboard that has to be as portable as possible. For normal work I use another keyboard that has extra keys for the modifiers.
