Companies look at quarter to quarter metrics. NO company of any size looks at day-to-day metrics.

I have certainly heard of Weyerhauser, but had no idea they were that big. They're the only 'individual' owner shown. The land-owning families is odd as I'm sure it overlaps a lot with pasture and private timberland.

OIL. There's a LOT of land that might be considered cow/grazing but won't really grow anything worth it. See West Texas.

Because showing up to a client meeting dripping in sweat on a 103 degree day is considered to be poor form. Because I got a new job and don’t have an extra two hours in my day to ride a bike back and forth, and moving isn’t in the cards. Because I have to carry a couple kids and all the crap the goes along with them.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was the DNC chair at the time. She put her foot on the scale for Hillary, and set us on the current course.

I’ve been pushing more to spend at Costco and less at Target. These recent announcements have me leaning even harder into that previous plan. Before I Was ambivalent about Target, now Ill generally go out of my way to avoid it.

Sure, but it’s not about shoes. It’s about everything. People NEED cars and flights for family connections and toys for their kids to keep themselves sane and clothes and food and lightbulbs and either paper towels, or detergent to wash cloth napkins. Personally, I’m addicted to coffee, but most people work paycheck to paycheck and aren’t out spending on frivolous stuff.

Here's your twice-annual warning! Texas' power grid can't handle cold OR hot! Has anyone tried cutting taxes and banning people from bathrooms? That'll probably make this better.

Because riding my bike 11 miles to work in 95 degree heat with unhealthy air to breathe is totally an option! I'd rather take my mega-bro-dozer pickup, in case I need to buy 1000lbs of mulch... /Sarc

Unfortunately, there were no topless women.

Lines are around the block, but BoJangles is open in Euless. Limited menu, but it’s here!!

My wife and I have a toddler and a newborn. I figure a thread on play-places, parks and kid-friendly events is a good idea :)

Even though malls are dying, we take the kids to play at

~Willow Bend - Half dead mall. Playplace is nice, but ratio of climb-ables to space means this one is better suited to running around than play.

~ Lewisville (music city). 80% dead mall. A couple small slides for the littles, and a big climbing gym for the bigger kids. Usually quite a bit quieter than any other mall, and you can generally let the littles run wild in the mall halls as it's so dead.

~ Stonebriar - fairly thriving mall. Playplace is PACKED with climbable stuff (almost too packed) and fairly small, especially for how busy it gets at times.

~ Prestonwood Church - Play place is free and not at a mall! Really better for kids out of the toddler stage.
