The postal service has moved franking of letters from local post offices to distribution centres so most votes won't reach polling stations by election day.

No one has manuals anymore.

Button cells should be standardised to only two sizes.

They are a health hazard, a live cell can eat through the stomach of a toddler very easily.

The main reason this occurs is because people buy those multiple size packs because every device has a different size.

I don't get it isn't it expensive ?

Say each machine cost $500 to buy and maintain, multiply that by 30 booths and then tens of thousands of polling stations the costs would be massive.

You can just scan the ballots in to get a quick count and then hand count them later.

more like "we've run out of nurses, so we'll send in abbatoir workers to do the job"

Right now, if you install a fresh copy of Windows 11 or buy new hardware, then go through the out-of-box experience screens, you’ll be forced to sign in to your Microsoft account.

Most people buy PCs with Windows installed, so they do not need to sign up to a Microsoft account. Yes, its keeps bugging you to, but its not mandatory.

The security features (like Bitlocker and the tpm chip) and OneDrive are linked to the device, not the user, so it doesn't actually need you to have an account or a OneDrive folder to run the security features.

Motorola phones are owned by Lenovo, a Chinese company.

There's about 4 million people in Brisbane-Gold Coast, 10 is not very representative...

If you don't have age verification you will be blocked from sites that require it, because you can absolutely guarantee they will not want to lose the Californian market.

Wonder if Motorola feels the same way.

Motorola phones will have both Graphene and Android.

You don't need to be an electrician to install a plug in Britain, in fact they sometimes sell appliances without plugs in Britain, so your excuse is irrelevant.

It’s to “help with administrative tasks like scheduling, explaining invoices, etc.”

Heh fuck me dead. Ai famously is terrible at basic arithmetic. It would be suicidal to use it for invoices.

They've just changed the format of Reddit and now there is no way to set the country for feeds. It just uses "everywhere" which is 90% Indian bot posts. I can't really use old Reddit on my phone.
