I haven't found Microsoft Documentation for anything since Word for Mac 5 on my Apple Centris 650 in 1992, and I only had that because it came in a printed book.

So this is on par with the Microsoft way: Let other people charge you for outdated help.

What are they going to do, ask MAGA to stop calling them "woke"? MAGA is all about bullying people, so saying "we don't like your name-calling" is only going to make it worse.

Grow a spine. Respond with "I know what woke means, so are you arguing against it from the racism angle or the ignorance angle?"

Well, it looks like Kilby finally made the decision to end the facade and kill the organization. I hope people find there way here to form a community of writers. I still think the core idea of the challenge is sound, and it seems to have been a positive force for most participants over the decades. It's sad to see it go, but I'm glad there are places to keep the spirit of the thing alive.

Why did so many of them read 1984 like a manual and not warning?

Question: Will "The Government's most solemn responsibility is to protect its citizens from abhorrent acts" be on the gates to the concentration camps?

I've been downloading my books but most of them are DRM so I can't read them on anything BUT a Kindle. I've been thinking about getting another e-reader but I fear I'm trapped.

That was a tradition? It doesn't seem like it's stuck around.

I don't think so. My understanding is NARA actually owns those accounts. He'll disable NARA and then go back and change posts made during Obama and Biden's presidencies.

My 86-year old mother is house-bound but she is the daughter of two immigrants who came over in the 1910's, so I guess she's gonna be shipped off to another country. I have no idea if my brother and I, both in our 50's would be subjected to deportation considering we haven't lived with her in over 30 years.

Maybe the US shouldn't have elected an out-and-out racist asshole.

I'm glad I found a way into Lemmy and found this community. I still read through the paperback copy I ordered a couple of years ago. I'm looking forward to the updates.
