Glad to hear it!

So I tried holding the one shot button for about 3 seconds this morning, and it keeps going until I stop it.

Have you tried the single shot button instead?

I have the Bambino Plus, and I've done manual shots in the past. It's been a while though. I can test it tomorrow. You might not be holding it long enough, or perhaps even too long?

I've reprogrammed mine to do much longer shots, that could also be an alternative.

Oh so that's how the Nyan cat came to be.

Upper side of the hips for me.

The problem with ones that heat the water is that they need a power outlet close to the toilet. Honestly, you get used to cold water pretty quickly.

You can get a basic brondell toilet seat bidet for around 100$ at Costco. You just attach it to the flush tank water intake. It's a slightly over-pressured tiny jet, so it takes a little getting used to, but it works.

You can also get handheld ones that also attach to the same water source as the toilet (fairly straightforward) that are a bit more comfortable but have a small learning curve (you need to learn to aim, you'll have a few wet accidents at first). I believe Home depot had some last time I checked.

The de facto answer would have been "Firefox" until recently. It is still a good option, but there are signs it has begun enshittifying.

I have the same philosophy. I've made a couple of websites for friends and family that are actually getting some traffic, using Eleventy, which I found a bit more flexible and familiar than Hugo.

Static, no overhead, no tracking (except basic private analytics using Umami) and optimized as much as possible.

I used WebP instead of AVIF because the later wasn't yet widely supported, but I might switch now. You might want to consider finding a way to have images be optimized automatically during Hugo's build, to avoid having to do it manually every time.

Yes, I was just being pedantic. Sorry to have triggered such an involved response, but thanks for all the information! From what I understand this is more of a problem in dishwashers, if you want to use it as rinse aid.
