Did you not see Picard? Apparently the future of humanity is a fascist, racist shit show that somehow became the opposite of Gene Roddenberry’s vision for the sake of, like, subverting expectations I guess? The Federation was openly racist against Romulans and enslaved androids even after episodes like Measure Of A Man grappled with the morality of such slavery. It’s a wonder they didn’t do a throw back episode where Picard goes back in time to try and prevent the kiss from TOS because of the damage it did to the future’s timeline or some shit. From “Infinite Diversity In Infinite Combinations” to “Romulans are garbage and deserved to have their sun go supernova” in a single episode. That show was wild for a Star Trek series.

Even more Contra 3: The Alien Wars vibes. That section where the missiles come towards you is straight out of the first level of Contra 3, like modern Mode 7 style. I dig it. This going to be co-op you think?
I’ll throw in a mention for Tunic.
It’s pretty cool, yeah. It’s basically like a weirdo mandolin-ish thing as I keep it tuned to DAE, but it’s fun. I don’t think it’s a particularly hard mod to pull off, but I’m no luthier myself. There are some videos on YouTube showing the process, but I just had a pro do it ‘cause I felt I’d likely just ruin the whole thing if I tried it myself. The results are pretty fun though… here’s someone else who also did the mod …

I see they have Merlins now that have pickups in them from the factory which wasn’t an option when I got mine, but maybe someday I’ll put a K&K in there or something which would be a fun mod. That’s a mod I’d be more comfortable doing myself, as I’ve messed around with pickups before, but I’ll stay away from fretwork for now.
While we’re on the subject of ukuleles, anybody remember the triangl-shaped ukuleles they used to use in elementary schools years ago that were unique to Canadian music classrooms?
https://www.vintageukemusic.com/ukuleles/northern.htm
I remember still having these around in the 1980s and 90s at our schools in Nova Scotia.
A few years ago a younger kid was telling me they had a “Russian ukulele”, not knowing that it was actually part of Canadian history. They had thought it was Russian because it resembled a balalaika, but it was definitely one of these “Northern ukuleles.”
I’ve only tried their uke in stores but have like it every time I’ve tried one. I have their mandolin as well, as well as the Godin A8 mando and several of their guitars, both acoustic and electric. I also have two of those M4s, or Merlins as they were originally called, one of which I actually had customized by a luthier to insert the “missing” frets to make it a chromatic instrument.
I can’t say that I’ve played any truly bad Godin products.
Now you got me thinking about getting another uke…
They should also make a shirt that says, “I did buy WinRAR and I also bought this shirt” to really corner the market on WinRAR-related apparel.
Give your balls a tug, the real trade deficit is us sending our best to play in America, but at least it’s spreading the culture around eh?
Ah yes, but also recall the 35th rule of acquisition: peace is good for business.
In modern times they for sure would have called them ETwo and EThree - Part 1 and EThree - Part 2: Endgame.
In the 90s it would have been E2T and a huge ship of ETs would have blown up New York with a big laser because they wanted revenge for kidnapping the OG ET.
First of all, our red is your blue and our blue is your red, but also our reds are bluer than your blues, but even our blues are bluer than your reds are, and we also have oranges that are bluer than our reds are, which also means they’re bluer than your blues are, and also we have like a navy blue that is particular to Quebec and it’s bluer than our reds are and also therefore bluer than your blues, and also we have a small group of greens, and they’re kinda bluer than our reds are, which also means they’re bluer than your blues are. Overall, we’re entirely bluer than even your bluest blues are, and even most of our blues are less red and more blue than most of your reds are, although it seems we’re on the verge of turning more red, but that gap seems to have narrowed since you guys got a red guy in there and we’re starting to see the results, even if its only been less than a week with your reds in charge.
I hope this clears things up.
Supply side Jesus, presumably.
