Oooh, here’s a sneaky #design thing. At certain browser widths, the itv dot com website initially loads with the “Manage, Reject, Accept” button arranged vertically, but shortly re-lays out the buttons horizontally. The effect is that if you were intending to hit the “Reject” button, you end up hitting the “Accept” button.

I’m pretty sure this is unintentional, caused by overeager “responsive” website code, but the net effect is still bad.

Screen cap of a browser loading an itv.com website. A cookie banner appears on the top, and re-lays out as the cursor was approaching the Reject button.

@[email protected] That’s freaking incredible. The photo, and the architecture.

How the great have fallen.

@[email protected] I drive past those once in a while. They are imposing and beautiful at the same time.

@[email protected] This photo is so reminiscent to early silver-plate photography, probably because of the exceedingy shallow depth of field, and the unusual and uneven aberrations around the corners of the image, which recalls the huge plates and the rather imperfect (by today’s standards) lenses they used way back when. I could almost swear the image has a sepia tint to it!

@[email protected] Beautiful image. I especially love the wisps of lit clouds in the background.

@[email protected] Ah, this makes me want to rent a tilt-shift lens and try some architecture photography!

@[email protected] I have passed by those turbines many times! Great shot!
