Not lame. Just not what you want. The joy is, there are instances that allow downvoting, which you are free to join, if that's the way you want to interact.

If you know the name of the community, I found success going through the address bar in your browswer, as opposed to search.
For example: lemmy.one/c/[email protected]
I need to work on my reading comprehension :)
