I'm not a networking guy and have no idea where to start.

You have several choices, a few to consider:

Mikrotik

UniFi

TP-Link Omada

Knowledge is expensive in time or money.

Trade the one you have most available.

eero Pro 6E v.s. TP-Link Archer A7 in c/[email protected]

Archer A7 at home and I have no issues with.

So, the common sense part of me says... Don't fix what isn't broken and use the A7.

The /r/HomeNetworking side of me says, if you have 6/6e end-user equipment, test the Eero 6e equipment.

Then again... I'd have installed OpenWrt on the A7 already.
