Yeah I'm actually slightly annoyed that while the first presidency we haven't cooled that much and prepared ourselves to be less dependent on the US.

But I think now it's pretty clear, "Trump"s USA is not something we (as europeans) can rely on anymore. Repeating the error twice should be more than enough to come to that conclusion, it was blatantly obvious that something like this could happen (seemingly not for a lot of americans, it's almost comical to see something like "LeopardsAteMyFace"). Though I'm still a little bit surprised at what speed Trumps administration is able to disassemble the US...

Yes, indeed. But it can definitely help improving mental-health non-the-less...

Trump and Musk certainly is...

Well, I think forbes is maintaining a well known list, here's his entry, which should give you some info about the source of his wealth: https://www.forbes.com/profile/elon-musk/?list=rtb%2F

As usual with billionaires (and actually most people with a significant wealth)

Oh in practice it works quite well for me, basically all my friends and family use Signal now. You can slightly push them towards that, explain the obvious pros, it's simple to install, so it's just a small matter of convincing. I only rarely use WhatsApp for some external groups.

Great I wanted to suggest kicking the US out, if they want to do it themselves, less potential for (violent) conflicts.

He can try to "blow apart" G7, but since every other member state is very likely not in the best mood towards the USA, it will likely just result in the US being gone, i.e. G6 has been "born".

This is just bullshit... And one of the reasons why the barely functioning democracy is on the best way to an autocratic fascist oligarchy.

There's two candidates to vote for. One is bad for the Palestinians, one is much worse for them. If I don't vote, the one that is much worse gets a higher chance of winning...

Democracy especially if you only have 2 choices is about making compromises.

Apparently a lot of people wasted (likely) all their future choices for an absolute *** (there's two many words that are fitting). That Trump still has such a high approval just confirms to me that we as Europeans should just cut ties with them.

Yeah destruction is done quickly, reputation and generally constructive policies (especially internationally) takes time.

What the US/Trump-Administration is doing, is just dumb (even for themselves). Europe almost has to slowly(?) cut ties with them, with what they're currently doing. And I do think "cutting ties with the US" increasingly gets more popular for a reason... Let's just hope that the same fate won't come over europe and that the current success of right-wing parties in europe is temporary...

But it's still far more political here...

If it ain’t broken

But it is...

I still have (or rather had) some screen-tearing somewhere. I very much have annihilated that issue with settings in X11 (though some application somewhere still has issues, be it the video player). And it just feels clunky non the less.

Although I'm currently not using Hyprland, it really feels nice to use, really flowy. I'm currently testing COSMIC (which is reasonably still in alpha, as I got issues with *** nvidia, like suspend sometimes hangs the computer).

That said, I think it's still ok to wait until the whole ecosystem is well supported in wayland, and *** nvidia finally got their wayland shit together.

Even if you don't take profit off the list, it could well be that he had more financial success in these other companies because he uses twitter as promotion and propaganda platform...
