My wife wants to practice biking as we haven't really biked and probably need to brush up. Any recommendations? Plus points in the NW

What free stuff can you get on your birthday in Calgary?

Here's what I know of:

  • Starbucks drink (requires registration)
  • Chicken on the Way - 2pc chicken meal
  • Denny's - $12 worth of food

Anything you can add? I'll edit OP with updates

Love this game too but you need medium heavy gamers or the rules may go over their heads

You've eaten the Costco ones raw? I'm a little hesitant, but I might try it...

Do they have sushi grade fish though?

Hi, I'm trying to make salmon sashimi or at least tartare. Anyone know where I can get some here in Calgary?

There was a thread on this on the alien site a couple of years back. These are farmed salmon of lower quality (and is dirt cheap). Costco has a higher quality salmon that they sell, but it's more expensive.

As an immigrant myself, yes. It is very attractive just by the fact that Canada's government isn't 100% corrupt and it's honestly very family friendly. Sure, there are problems, but they pale in comparison to a lot of other countries'.

It took me 5 months to find a good job (that wasn't service) - so competition is tough and the initial steps are ridiculously expensive, but it's all good. Infrastructure and systems are suffering right now, but in the next 20 years, I'm confident it will catch up.

Thank you! This is really helpful. There are still some communities that are 404ing, but it's probably part of the growing pains.

Hi, I noticed that the community search function doesn't work that well. Sometimes I can find communities I'm looking for, but other times I can't; even when I know they exist on other instances. Are these just part of the growing pains?

Any events that are happening this week or mostly weekend? Last weekend there were a bunch of "Parade of Garage Sales"
