Glad this was passed.... Timing couldn't be better for the Saskparty to save face after calling someone a terrorist.

That would be what we call future ammunition against the next government when they form and try to collect the industrial carbon tax. Chances are the province will again spend our money to take them to court and pay the industrial carbon tax out of the provincial coffers that citizens pay into.

Some friends just came back from Australia and they mentioned that people from Sask talk about the weather all the time. I replied that in the winter we talk about it more than in the summer. Perhaps this is just because of our farming heritage. What y'all think?

I wish lemmy.ca had this. Not really a plugin, but is a client with a beautiful theme for lemmy. Check out https://github.com/Xyphyn/photon

I grew up about 30 minutes away from Emma. Spent my teenage years at Anglin Lake, I worked there for a few summers.

Thanks, I am finding Reddit to be the same as Facebook was. Less people and more advertising. I currently have 208+ consecutive days on their platform.

Camping and a fire is a great idea....always looking for a hidden gem. We love to find a sandy beach when things get warmer.

I may be of an unpopular opinion on the carbon tax.... I think I get more back from the feds than I give. I think this tax is a great way to tax those that use more carbon and give back to those that don't. Pay more for fuel because you drive a big truck (I do btw), pay more tax. Have a mansion to heat pay more tax, have a smaller house get some tax back. Those complaining about this tax are obviously already more well off or uninformed about how this tax works.

I am looking for something new to do in Sask during the May Long weekend. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. My family and I love the outdoors, have a camper and are willing to travel. We are based out of Regina.
