It’s crazy how much memes have become like comic strips when you stop and think about it.
We have so much overlap in our gaming habits that the occasional time you played a game I wasn’t familiar with it signified a pretty good chance I’d enjoy it, and that’s borne out so far.
I saw their post earlier today and have been thinking about it off and on since then. This feels like a really big moment for Lemmy. Having watched the updates for a year and now seeing this best-of post… I don’t know how to articulate it but it feels like a real milestone for our whole community.
Either way, many congrats to @[email protected], and thanks for the great 1 year post. I really enjoyed it.
It is darkly funny, on multiple levels, that thus far the best impediment to the Mechanazis is their own dumb fucking incompetence.
They certainly are not being thwarted by an “opposition” that is cowardly and craven, if not outright complicit.
