That's because they used pewter containers which were pretty common back in the day. The acidity from tomatoes would leech the lead out of the pewter and into the tomato so anyone eating this lead infused tomato product was gonna be in for a bad time.

Only thing I think of when anyone named Seymour is asked to fix lunch related problems:

After she was sexually assaulted at 16, Cooper had sworn she would never be caught unprepared. But here she was. Betrayed by her body, which would not cooperate. Betrayed by her family, who supported firing federal workers like her. And, perhaps most painfully, betrayed by herself.

She did not want to vote for Trump. Cooper hated what he said about women and hated how he treated them. Her family always said the women who accused the president of sexual assault had either made it up or deserved it. Cooper heard them and kept her own experience a secret, thinking that they might feel the same way about her.

Sexual assault victim votes for sexual assaulter is in the same vein as Jews for Hitler. Maybe not to the same degree, but definitely in the right direction. How stupid do you have to be?

Trump, at a campaign stop an hour and a half south of her, had promised to make IVF free. She knew that from a video clip she saw on TikTok. And she had believed him.

Really hard to feel any empathy for someone that votes for a dude that has zero for anyone else. The best I can offer is schadenfreude.

Jocelyn Steward, a health insurance specialist with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said she thought it was the Trump administration that had lost the focus on the proper priorities.

Steward, who voted for Trump for president in three straight elections, said she believed job cuts would focus on early retirements and workers who underperformed. But she said she lost her job, helping military veterans and other understand their benefits, even though she was just in training and had met all her job requirements.

“Layoffs aren’t easy on anybody. But there has been zero compassion for anything or anyone in this process,” said Steward, who lives and works in Georgia. ”A lot of these federal workers are doing good work. Please just show a little empathy.”

Curious to see which people prefer. I've found that while Classic with the Ix expansion was very solid, the cards and revamped board spaces in Uprising really resonated a lot more with the groups I've played with.

We love it more than life

We fear it more than death

The wealthy want for it

The poor have it in plenty

Heehaw. Me thinks someone at Amazon has never played Diplomacy before 😂
