I mean, the intent behind these kinds of businesses is activism, really. They're definitely taking a page out of the Marc Emery playbook with their business model, forcing law enforcement to sort of play wack-a-mole with multiple locations but being super duper obvious with their presence as a business, and using that to really highlight the disproportionate investment of resources in the enforcement of some rather archaic drug laws.
Outside of TOTK, I really enjoyed playing Minish Cap. The story, I'm meh on, but the gameplay was a lot of fun! It's almost a tie between that and ALttP, but I actually haven't ever finished the later which means the former wins out, for me anyways.
I was referring to your obvious bigotry towards trans and queer people, but clearly there are all sorts of problems with christofascist views, thanks for highlighting that for me ;) lol at your mentions of "ideology" while simultaneously repeating old canned talking points from alt right propaganda.
No one owes you a platform. In fact, christofascists and those who break the treaty of tolerance very much deserve to be deplatformed. Your views aren't based on reality or evidence, and only serve to dehumanize.
And FYI, since you brought it up, abortion is a medical procedure that is between a patient and their doctor. A retired "Christian" Navy vet who supports Desantis is the absolute LAST person whose opinions should be respected on that subject.
Yeah, one look at your banner, and it's very clear that you're willfully obtuse in this regard. Someone else's humanity, and right to live freely and peacefully without harassment, isn't up for debate. The line is pretty easy to identify- "am I dehumanizing someone?", and if you struggle with that, this isn't the space for you. If you embrace christofascism, expect pushback.
I think BC and QC have concetrated communities of anti-science individuals, which makes the ignorance seem more prevalent than it actually is. Then again, the number of people I know who recognize naturopathy is bullshit but then routinely see a chiropractor is WAY too high
Top threads would be good, I think. There are some really great posts if you sort top for all time. I just found this community, and am really happy to see it and have the chance to engage in this content on lemmy :)
Oh absolutely agree that the initial implementation was a product of the necessity at the time. I guess I'm just flabbergasted at the blatant lack of fucks from CRA, especially because, as you point out, the accountability for individuals who received CERB is clearly a priority for them now. Yet CEWS was the bigger program cost-wise.
Weird, I can't access the dynavap community through a lemmy.ca url :( I can see it with your link, but you linked the lemmy.world url so I can't subscribe as I'm with another instance. Just an fyi! Really happy to see a dynavap space, I did SO much research before I picked up my 2020M and Apollo2 IH and online communities were definitely super helpful with the learning curve!
Am I reading this right- CEWS has less oversight than the PP program in the US, which was intentionally rolled out with no oversight but eventually had it implemented? Fucking wild, CRA is friendlier than Trump to those who grift government support programs.
He has actively courted incels and such on social media with hash tags. This isn't a slip up, these people are his base. The only thing he's sorry for is that people who aren't raging hateful assholes notice.
It's just insane to me that Smith and her supporters can look around and say "nope, we gotta defend O&G and the status quo". With ocean and surface temperature records being broken on a daily basis now
lol you do realize they'll have fines to pay at the very least, right? This isn't black market dealing, this is a push for decriminalization knowing full well that civil disobedience has some expensive and unavoidable consequences.
