This is good. Poland was "suspected" to be "breaching the EU's founding values (respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities)". Article 7 then strips some rights (mostly: less funding) from the nation in question.

The new government now starts to fix the violations, so Article 7 does not apply anymore.

Die Phase war leider von 2018 bis letztes Jahr. Kann schon verstehen, dass einige in der Zwischenzeit abgeschaltet und seitdem auch nicht wieder reingeguckt haben.

Is it too difficult to post some context?

Die Amtsrichterin schlug zudem einen ungewöhnlichen Kompromiss vor: Die Gruppe soll den Saal im Regionshaus putzen, dafür darf sie einen Brief an die Abgeordneten schreiben.

Sehr merkwürdig. Jeder Bürger hat das Recht seinem Abgeordneten zu schreiben. Wieso gibt die Richterin den Angeklagten dann explizit eine Erlaubnis unter Auflagen dazu?

Once upon a time, fish left the water. This event was later deemed the root cause for all wars.

Oops, English is my second language, and I never realized that "fledged" and "fletched" are different words. :) You never stop learning, thanks!

As far as I can tell, out-of-universe, the spelling "Shel kek nem ron" was used in the scripts so the actors could pronounce the phrase easier, but in-universe the spelling is "Shal’kek nem’ron".

How does that work? Umlauts can totally change the meaning of a word.

Konnte - was able, könnte - could, musste - had to, müsste - should, hatte - have had, hätte - would have.
