Let me explain.

Coming from windows, if i have my monitor split into halfs with firefox, for example, youtube on the left and lemmy on the right, and I am typing on lemmy, I just click on the youtube video on the left once to stop/start it.

On macos in same scenario, the youtube window is "inactive" and then i have to click it once for the window to be the active one, and again to stop the video. It feels like my mac is not responsive because I expect the first click to stop the video. It's been weeks using a mac and I still can't get used to this for some reason.

I know this is nitpicking but is this normal macos behaviour or can this be changed?

I hate the guy but I was actually surprised with his debate performance tonight

In the next 10 seconds he said 'gagged' so pretty mild fuckup I think

He obviously misspoke but that's hilarious

They likely suffer from the same bullshit if they are sentient

I stumbled into it by word of mouth in my case. I started out doing IT for public schools which gave me some experience with racking stuff, security cams, basic electrical work, etc

No but look into datacenter night shift work. Where i am nobody wants that shift. Working in a datacenter is pretty fun

Had some luck finding stuff on https://plugintorrent.com/ but I'm specifically looking for the Jeff Loomis plugin.

We had one in the lab though and just ignored it

I spend a portion every day removing tapes, shipping them offsite and inserting new tapes

Annoying but must be done

The pedals in her pickup have a switch that moves the pedals up and down even high enough for her lol

I went to a trades school which offered IT computer systems as a 2 year diploma. Fast track to a job back in the early 2010s. That path would never get you into IT today lol

The specific class I mentioned was windows system administration

I'm in canada and eyeing up miele c3 but heard it's not great for carpets.

What vacuum should I buy for less than $500 cad? Are used vacuums a good idea?
