Well that sucks but they sure as hell won't be able to buy one "made in America" either. The raw materials for batteries alone would have tariffs on them as well. Unless we have massive amounts of cobalt, lithium, copper, silicon, cadmium, etc, to be able to produce these items domestically, working class and middle class Americans will not be able to afford them.

They already tried "made in America" Apple products and they did not sell! Americans don't want to pay $5K for an iPhone when they can pay 80% less for one made in China.

You don't get what I'm saying. Insurance companies aren't making the choice for consumers. Consumers refuse to take preventative health measures, that is the choice they make. Insurance in turn, refuses to provide coverage to them because they willingly cost them more in the long run. Medicare and Medicaid, what will be left of them, should also refuse to cover them. Let these consumers cover their own healthcare costs.

This would still respect choice while cutting back on the utilization of emergency services covered by insurance companies. It could lead to reduced costs and people who pay into insurance shouldn't be forced to pay for the negative health outcomes of people who willingly flout preventative health measures. It drives up costs for everyone.

What do you think an effect of that $5M gold card is going to be? Good luck continuing to compete with institutional investors and ultra wealthy.

It's nothing but talk for these AHs and trying to save face. Besides it's not like if DJT is removed that we'd fair any better. We'd have couch fucker to contend with and he's just as bad.

He rejected the plea deal. Taking a plea deal means you forgo trial. Granted actual mass murderers received lesser sentences like LWOP.

By requesting the DP they are essentially going to try to find a jury that is as pro DP as possible.

The state my dick was in.

That is because both GOP and DEM are corporatist parties. They will not cater to working class people because those people aren't the ones throwing the most money at them. Left wing populism is nothing more than a tankie wet dream since citizens united.

He does think everyone is stupid. You should read the article his first wife wrote about him years ago. He called himself an Alpha among other cringey things during their wedding reception. EM has a superiority complex and bitches about weaponized empathy while weaponizing empathy by claiming to be a victim and, and his father allegedly put it, "removed".

You didn't predict anything. But it's clear only one of us is angry. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hey TwoXPreppers! This is one of my favorite subs on Reddit. Glad to find an offshoot on Lemmy. I was wondering what recommendations you guys had for prepping for a recession? I'm net debt free and continuing to funnel cash into different funds (car, medical, clothes, etc.) but I'm wondering what else there might be? Currently, don't have a ton of space for a garden but am looking to start a small one. With bird flu, measles, economic uncertainty, and the current US administration rolling back consumer protections, I'm looking to see what others are thinking and what they're doing to try to weather the uncertainty ahead?
