The hatchback looks better.

I'm an urban person, so I want to live in a dense city where there is great public transportation and you can easily walk to essential places (i.e. grocery store). I also prefer indoor spaces over outdoor, so a city where there are a lot of indoor activities. Places like Singapore and Tokyo.

Too lazy to turn on my irrigation system. I drained it 2 weeks ago in preparation for the deep freeze last week. Homes in my state aren't built for freezing weather so we have to drain our irrigation lines and drip faucets anytime it gets below freezing.

Yes that’s exactly my setup at work. I’m part of a global team so it’s only once or twice a year were enough people travel to one office location that it becomes an “event” of visitors in the office for a week.

I really wanted a Guitbass and Basitar back then.

2 night outs in a week is too much IMO. At my work, the maximum is 1 dinner+team building event in the middle of the week (never Friday because people have families to go home to for the weekend). We usually try to go to a place where an activity can be done and the place has food and drinks as well, so it's 2 birds with 1 stone. But to answer your question, any respectable professional environment should accept a simple "sorry, I can't go" answer without any further questions. Any simple excuse should also be fine, like "I'm tired from all the meetings today and will retire early to get some rest, since we still have a ton of meetings tomorrow as well".

This is like the 3rd straight game where the Spurs choke near the end. Just go full into tank mode at this point. And let Castle play so he can develop.

Mavs would’ve legit won that if AD and Gafford were playing. Great game all around and I’m glad it wasn’t a blowout.

Am I missing something in the link? I see the url yes, but I only see the quote of him endorsing startmail. Is there any other info on what kind of partnership they have? Genuinely curious because I use startpage a lot and will definitely stop if this is true.

Ahh crap one of those songs again that I recognize very well but didn't care about the title or artist.

As a musician, it’s music for me. And not just music per se. There’s an art to producing and mixing a good song that it hits my ears just right when it’s executed perfectly.

Right? And why was this person going around while infected. Doesn't measles have pretty visible symptoms? I just read the timeline and I was at the riverwalk the day after and the bucc-ee's they were at 10 hours later. Thankfully I got re-immunized recently (2 years ago) so hopefully that's a lot better than having been vaccinated as a kid.

Did anything happen to those bots over the past week? I’m subscribed to some communities that have them posting stuff regularly. I just noticed a drop in content on my feed yesterday and realized I haven’t seen posts from those bots the past few days.

I had the opportunity to see the first 10 minutes of Part 1 in an advanced teaser back then. I wish they also did the same this time around, as this seems to be an exclusive event instead of opening it to a limited number of audiences from the public.

So I prefer to use a DNS blocker (DoH) on my IOS devices to block ads, malware, and trackers. For the longest time I’ve been using Aha DNS Blitz because it allows you to choose the exact filter lists you want to enable. Recently I saw Mullvad now has their own DoH service as well and I’m trying it out now. It’s not as customizable as you can only choose a combination of the general categories (ads, malware, tracking, social, gambling, etc.). On the other hand, Mullvad runs everything on RAM now and they are very transparent of their methods and have a proven track record.

I’d like to get the community’s opinion on which of the two you prefer and why.

I don't see a discussion thread for the recently concluded Attack on Titan anime series, so here it is. Mods, feel free to delete if inappropriate.

Narwhal released v2 of their app today to the general public. As a loyal narwhal user before I moved to lemmy, I still had the app on my phone so I checked it out.

The app now shows your api usage so you know how much you’ll need to pay based on your average browsing habits. It’s making users uncomfortable because they can’t browse carefree knowing the counter goes up every time they do something in the app.

Such a shame because the new app version is beautiful, but look at what reddit is forcing app devs to do just so their app can live on.

We have a 12 and 14 ProMax and I noticed the new color scheme change on the 12. For example, the yellow to red-orange change on the calculator buttons, and the blue to dark-blue change on the wifi/data/BT/airplane buttons in control center. However, it didn't change on the 14. Anyone know if there's a setting somewhere to change this?

I was an avid single player gamer a long long time ago (15+ years) and the recent Quake II remaster sparked the nostalgia in me and now I want start playing all my favorite classic games (StarCraft, Diablo II, Quake 2 and 3, Battlefield 2, etc.) again.

The problem is I mostly have old hardware. My old HP laptop running Arch just died recently and my old MSI laptop running Mint that I use as a media player connected to my tv is too slow to run games properly.

So I was thinking of buying one of those mini PCs or compact desktops that run around $200-$250 to dual boot Windows (don’t wanna waste the free license if it comes with it) and Linux and use it as a gaming machine. I’m so behind with pc specs nowadays so I wanted to ask the community for recommendations. I’ll be playing mostly the classic games above and their remastered versions so I don’t really need a top of the line machine, just something decent that isn’t too far behind and can still run some current games if I ever find anything new interesting.

Any suggestions please? Thanks!
