Not trying to be dense, but what is the point of Graphene OS? I've seen it mentioned in circles of de-googling and privacy but I'm not exactly sure what the differences are between it and regular Android. Will my day to day experience be very different? Or is it mostly the same but has privacy/security stuff working in the background?

I have a Pixel 6 Pro I bought used, and would be interested in something like this if it means distancing my data away from Google.

I've seen them referred to as Survivor-like games. I guess that's similar to how souls-like and rogue-like genres were defined by those respective games.

I recently built a PC and my 4070ti Super has this plug. Would it be a smart idea to just put a small stick-on heatsink on the plug itself? I have a few lying around so if there's no harm to it I might just put it on there.

I've purchased a pair of Emporio Armani glasses through them, and a pack of their Kits brand daily contact lenses.

The lenses are nothing special, but they were a decent price and worked just fine. I tend to have a difficult time removing them, but that just might be me.

The glasses are designer brand so that doesn't speak to their in house brand quality. But they had a good coupon going when I bought them so it ended up being a good price as well.

Overall I would recommend the Kits for the prices, but it probably won't be the highest quality stuff if you're going for their own brand.

I've tried a couple experiments with tiny aquariums in jars and bowls (0.5-1gal). The water parameters can be tricky to stabilize since the ecosystem is so small and any changes (like feeding food) can cause major swings. I would definitely advise plant heavy, and stick to small invertebrates like snails and shrimps and avoid fish.

Yes, because the Canadian $1 coin has a loon on the face.

Probably a deposit for the value of the computer itself if it isn't returned or something.

I learned this the hard way with my 1974 MG B. I test drove it and looked it over from all angles and there didn't seem to be any problematic rust. But lo and behold, digging into the floors a little bit they are pretty much rotten and now I'm doing a big restoration project. The lesson I learned the hard way, rust is 10x worse on the inside of the metal than it looks on the outside.

Yes that's definitely it, I recognize the front end as well and it looked just like that

I also thought Chrysler Crossfire when it passed me, but after looking at the picture again, the tail lights look much different.

Apologies for the crappy quality, had to get this off a phone picture of my dash cam footage.

Realistically, it would just let publishers lay off even more devs and continue to run the existing teams understaffed.

No worries, I'm not sure exactly how lemmy works with the different instances, but yeah that's strange.
