Just read a fine blog post by John Gruber on the matter: Curse Not the King

We can be sandwich friends.

Or perhaps there was something about this guy's actions that were grossly negligent in a way that any person would agree he effed up.

I'll bring alcohol. Lots of it.

This from the company that kept publicly begging for regulation of social media.

According to the filing, Lipnik has been fired from Apple “for failing to follow Apple’s policies designed to protect its confidential information, including development devices and unreleased software and features.” The filing also accuses Lipnik of failing to report “multiple prior breaches” to Apple.

When you sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement), you’d best protect the secrets. Then again, the guy who left an iPhone 4 in a bar didn’t lose his job. Wonder what the differences are between them.

A big concern is that stablecoins will appear as safe investments, legitimized by the law, while supposedly private companies issuing stablecoins could peg their tokens to riskier assets that could tank reserves, cause bank runs, and potentially blindside and financially ruin Americans. Stablecoin scams could also target naïve stablecoin investors, luring them into making deposits that cannot be withdrawn.

About as on-brand as it could get for modern GOP.

A shitty admin works with a shitty propaganda machine to produce shitty bullshit.

George Washington would be super happy to see what we’ve become. Sorta like how Jesus would be stoked by the Prosperity Gospel.

(Jesus was not a historical figure. He was originally a figure in heaven. Now let me really blow your mind: Washington also wasn’t a historical figure. He was originally the devil in hell! I’m joking of course, shut up, I need gallows humor to not be depressed by this shit. The bit about Jesus was not a joke, however.)

USA! USA! USA!

They’re just straight up evil.

I mean, it's tabloid news, but it's still significant. The case was reportedly quite damning and ended up going nowhere.

Media outlets have noted that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., US health secretary and ardent anti-vaccine advocate, has championed Moore. In April, Kennedy wrote on social media that "Dr Moore deserves a medal for his courage and his commitment to healing!"

These cretins make me sick. Healing! Wtf

I also don’t know how to make the charges to my credit card stop because other parts of the (since updated) website also return errors and the customer service number I called on the website couldn’t help either.

I recall that the “stop the steal” donations continued billing people who thought they made a one-time donation. Hahaha. Stupid MAGA idiots will get fleeced and thank Trump for the privilege. Rubes! You deserve to be conned. Enjoy uncancelable recurring fees while you pay your medical bills that used to be covered by Medicaid, fascists.

Lindell has said he plans to appeal the defamation verdict.

This piece of shit will appeal all the way to our corrupt SCOTUS and get this nullified. I hate this timeline.

I rejected the christ story around age 8. I told my mother that it seemed like a fairy tale. She got pretty upset.

I'm a history nerd, so maybe this won't apply to you. But learning about the early stages of christianity has been a lot of fun for nearly two years. Who'd have thought, right?

If you enjoy reading and learning and you dislike the hold that religion has on society, you might enjoy learning about the earliest stages of the church. There's so much material. The starter that I'll recommend is The Passover Plot. I've become way more radical after this, but I think this might be a good bridge for readers who are beginning their exploration. Hope you enjoy!

It's 400GB. I consider it my duty to perma-seed the data (as exposed by Unicorn Riot) to out nazis in the USA. I only find people downloading it on occassion, but it always makes me happy when it happens.
