It took me a second to understand "cishet" I'm not used to seeing both terms smudged together and shortened line that

Perhaps I should have clarified that I do have a bike, and I got the cheapest aluminum bike I could afford. It's not that bad to carry down the stairs in the back

But I'll never be able to manage with a cargo bike

Honestly, get a car and then add a roof rack instead of an SUV You have the space you need, it's cheaper than an SUV, it's more fuel efficient, and you can take it off and not have to transport all the extra weight when it is not necessary

Unfortunately, I live on the second floor and winters over here have a lot of snow and such. I need my car.

Fortunately, I chose to live somewhere where I'm comfortable doing groceries by foot. So I can avoid using my car as often as possible.

Once I have my own garage, or my city comes up with some king of cargo bike share thing, and I get rid of my car, then I'll definitely use this super often.

If I ever do have children, this is one of the things I want to teach them.

Hopefully, it turns into an important memory for them.

Learning about technology from their parents' and how it isn't magic.

I always have a lot to talk about and discuss with opinions on a large variety of topics.

I've already had good debate with other people (without it devolving into insults). So I suppose I got that going for me which is nice.

I guess I want to see where this goes

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I don't have a choice. It comes pre-soldered according to the description. There does seem to be other power and ground pins on the board according to the schematic. I'll try using those

[–] t0fr 1 points 1 year ago

Thanks I think I'll do that

Do you think I could simply solder to the other 5V, 3V, Ground pins for power? Will that power both the audio board and pi? Seems like there are traces between them?

I tried buying the BluRay to one of the recent Spider-Man movies. Unfortunately, due to DRM, I could not play it in my BluRay drive on my PC? I might have had to download some proprietary video playback software or something.

I realized that this too was such a hassle compared to the files that I could potentially download. As great as physical media is, the convenience factor plays an impact for me. I want to own my media, but I have to put in work and have a non-ideal setup to watch it.

On top of everything, with all the intros, and piracy warnings, just so many layers of non-comvenience.

I thought this was super fascinating. It's really well done AI, sounds like Cash
