I'm not entirely sure how ad blockers work, but my understanding was they prevent things loading from certain URLs. If the ads are embedded into the video, then there's no ad-specific URL to block

The likely reason they say to not view through a window is because you won't get any vitamin D through a window and it also reduces the brightness compared to being outside. Get the app Lux on your phone which can measure brightness and it's a phenomenal difference how much brighter it is outside without really seeming like it

They're called kaomoji, like emoji. In Japanese, emoji means "image-letters" and kaomoji means "face-letters." The English word for them is probably emoticons, but that more refers to things like :-) and xD. Kaomoji can be called "Japanese emoticons."

If you have an Android phone, your keyboard has built-in kaomoji ヾ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)ノ♪. You can access them by opening up the emoji panel at the bottom left, then tapping the ":-)" button at the bottom right, which contains some western emoticons but many categories of kaomoji

While the overall video would be a different length, video players often don't count the ads towards the media time. So the deep links should be okay

Metro 2033 redux and COD WaW custom zombies. Haven't been in a big gaming mood recently and want something easy and fun. I enjoy the short chapters and fun gameplay and world building of the Metro games, this is my second playthrough. COD custom zombies is just fun and relaxing when playing easy maps and you can stop at any time

I recently started learning and playing poker, and I mostly play with fake money. Here's what I've used so far:

Pokerstars and GGPoker both have fake money options that you can play without depositing money. I used Pokerstars for a while as it was the only client I could get working on Linux (using bottles). They both have good mobile apps. I prefer GGPoker's interface so I've been using my Windows dual boot to play that when I want to on my computer.

Poker Brawl is a phone app where you can play correspondence heads-up poker with an ELO rating system. It's correspondence , so you only have to make a move once every three days. It's heads-up only, though.

I've found playing on real poker platforms with fake money to be best in terms of somewhat emulating real poker in terms of player behavior.

Feel free to comment with any questions and I'll try to help

This anti lawn tirade is kinda anti-kid to a degree.

I see where you're coming from, but I'd argue that more public parks with playgrounds and fields to play on is better than lawns. In some places that's not prioritised, possibly where you are, and so it sounds great what you have going on!

But if there are enough public parks for kids to play at, then lawns just end up being wasted space that could instead be a garden or have native plants that help the native wildlife, or something like that.

I don't know anyone that actually uses their lawn for anything... Some people might host BBQs or stuff like that, in which case I don't mind. In my view, if it gets used, great! But most of the time they don't and they just suck up water resources and petrol on mowing with no real benefit

gotdamn is a joke spelling, was popular several years ago. I think it was because with certain accents it sounded like that. Kind of like "periodt 💅"
