I'm a stay at home dad and my phone is on and off the charger all day. I typically won't plug my phone in at night unless I think the battery is too low to make it thru the night. But by the time bedtime rolls around I'm usually good.

Condolences, friend. I agree with this post. I lost my best friend in 2017, and it's not that he didn't like having his picture taken, we just didn't take very many pictures when we were together. So now all I have to remember him by are a couple pics and very foggy memories of our inebriated shenanigans. And a couple of scars too, but I couldn't actually tell you how those got there.

At 33, I rather enjoy watching people play minecraft on youtube.

I never knew my dad, so I'm off the hook for buying a gift. I have 2 small children of my own tho, so I'll be spending the day with those little shits before I have some tattoo work done. That is my gift to myself.

This is a good take. I find it strange that beehaw would be cast as the villains in this situation when an open line of communication exists between the admins with the tentative goal of refederating.

I agree. I have both lemmy and kbin accounts, and so far I think the new user experience on kbin is just a little bit easier. But I'll keep my eye on lemmy in the meantime. You're right, it will be very interesting to see how this thing develops.

I don't even care what happens to spez or reddit any more. I came to the fediverse out of spite, but I stayed for the amazing community. Spez can do what he likes, this is my home now.
