In a sense you're right. But it doesn't necessarily mean it's the "same". If you have r/videos and c/videos, it's be ridiculous to think that the one on reddit is official and then one on Lemmy is a temporary copy waiting for immigrants. Sure, if you have no activity and people refuse to use it and it's a very specific niche thing, maybe you could argue that. But I'd say that most of the time, the communities here on Lemmy and on kbin are just as valid, just as true, and are their own entities independently of whether the users from the "originals" migrate en masse to them.

For example. I mod a music genre community. I just post music I like. If anyone joins that's great. I don't care.

I know coding but coders are in high demand and I'm very busy nowadays.

You're gonna have to set up one on one calls with people who have verified their passports with selfies, and then do a personal visit to their homes.

I just put on an audiobook, almost sure it was this one. And it may have been hard to understand at first but I didn't care, I was just talking a long walk and decided to leave it on, and by the end I was understanding everything and it was a pretty cool experience.

I have not tried to actually read his books. I actually just got started with reading Alan Moore's "Providence", graphic novel series. What I have is a collection of all of his graphic novels in that universe I think, it's a huge, very heavy book. My copy is in Spanish (link), not sure if this exact collection exists in English but as an English author all his graphic novels are obviously available.

Anyway, I wish I had more time to try and read his works. I just found a download link for 13 of his books for free on Project Gutenberg.

Mastodon is extremely active. Even if you aren't there, it's pretty big. Nonetheless, you are right that shit needs to look very neat for mass adoption to come. Buuuut, from 1k to 240k in like 10 days is very good still :)

I am trained in nonstop content generation for steemit.com and Hive.io where being a spammer was the key to success. I would post 100 comments a day and 1 post a day because that was the maximum amount of posts per day. Now on Lemmy it seems my spammy instinct came out and I comment and post dozens of times a day on multiple accounts. 🤐
