Since I suggested that I'm willing to hook my computer to an LLM model and to a mastodon account, I've gotten vocal anti AI sentiments. Im wondering if fediverse has made a plug in to find bots larping as people, as of now I haven't made the bot and I won't disclose when I do make the bot.

I'll start. I watched every minute of Francis Ford Coppola's "Megalopolis".

Just finished... it made me think of this topic.

I haven't been able to find any communities dedicated to our Lord and Saviour Eris, and I am perplexed by this fnord. Where are you hiding, my fellow popes?

In your locality, region, state, country etc
Any orgs like that.

Examples from the area I'm from, Kerala:

  1. Kudumbasree or Prosperity of the family
Org that was setup by the state govt to empower women, reduce poverty etc.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kudumbashree

  2. Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad or Kerala Science Literature Movement
Org with the aim to improve scientific temper
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerala_Sasthra_Sahithya_Parishad

Another org that I've recently heard about in the state of Maharashtra, India:
Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti or Committee Eradication of Blind Faith, Maharsashtra
Read about how the leader of the org was gunned down by religious extremists

Particularly - America.

I personally have found that, I live in the past to cope. Nostalgia is my drug. It sometimes doesn't help because all it does is that it makes me yearn and beg for things to be back to where things were. Because it warps my mind into opening time capsules whenever I watch an old show or listen to an episode of some niche radio show that long stopped producing new material.

However, it helps because, it at least reminds me that there are some things that I can revisit. If I couldn't revisit anything, play the games I played, read the books I read, watched the movies/shows I used to, then I'd be up shit's creek because I'd have to face the fucked up things people consider what are the 'best that's offered'.

The golden rule appears in many religions in different ways, but can be summed up as "treat others how you want to be treated". However, I've seen it misused in some extreme ways in the past. What's the most out-of-left-field way you've seen it used?

I’m curious if there’s any Android Lemmy app that supports push notifications. If not, is there a way to add push notifications to the existing apps? (When I say push notifications, I mean getting notifications from community posts.)

I just bought a cool new sweater but once again I'm afraid to wear it because it's an off-white colour that will stain very easily 😅

For me for instance it is to type it in with a rhythm or only with my middle fingers.

I really enjoy rereading my past conversations, whether it's texts or comments here on Lemmy. I do it pretty much every day, and I just think about the different things that could have been said. I don't obsess over it, I basically treat it like another feed. When I get bored of Home and All, I go through my own profile.

Do you ever reread past conversations here or elsewhere? How often?

James Harrison, who held the world record for the highest number of blood donations, has died at 88 years old.

His blood had a rare property that gave it the power to help babies with certain diseases. Two and a half million people owe their lives to him.

I don't know if he saved my life, but seeing that he passed away, my first reaction is to ask "what would he have wanted us to do in return?"

If he is the reason 0.05% of the world is alive today, it shouldn't be outside the realm of things to imbue some kind of authority in him.

After a lot of looking, some point out that based on his character and interactions, his last wishes seem to be to be kind, trusting, understanding, and forgiving if there is even the smallest reason to be. But I'm wondering if anyone here has any knowledge I don't.

I'm not religious in the slightest, but my god, if there's a Heaven, I hope he's sitting right next to Jesus.

Just thinking about the little things we enjoy that is other people's way of earning, for example fishing.

I ask because we had a situation in Ireland just like this many years ago. It was for welfare fraud specifically and faced criticism for a few reasons. One was that the suspected levels of fraud may have been much lower than the politician was claiming. The other reason was that the cost of tackling it could likely outweigh any savings.

I already made some people mad by suggesting that I would I would make by computer run an ollama model. I suggested that they make a counter AI bot to find these accounts that don't disclose they're bots. What's lemmy opinion of Ai coming into fediverse?

I am not talking about the MRT system. I see that everyday.

I am currently in Singapore and I swear I haven't seen daylight in two days. My hotel is directly connected to this MRT and Mall. I am just underground and everything is so huge down here.

I wonder is this a city under the city?

What kind of world are the Orange and his puppet master billionaires building?

Are we headed for slavery, extinction, the matrix or some other post apocalyptic future?

How do these despots think that food arrives?

At the moment it seems they're hell bent on global destruction.

I speak Spanish but primarily speak in English for the main reason that I haven’t seen an active LGBT group in anything but English. If not, I’ll make one!

(There appears to be 2 recent ones in Galician and Norwegian 🇳🇴, too, if you’re interested 😮)

Pun intended, but still a serious question.

Would a neutron matter? (Pun also intended, but also serious)
