Good. Everyone should have the same rights. If there’s some aspect of a policy’s rights adherence that’s victimizing LGBTQ+ individuals, then that should be patched up in the organization’s declaration of universal rights, to ensure nobody gets victimized.
Seems to me like it's a shame to remove this. Transgender people are facing many hardships right now (like in many states, they can't change their sex on their drivers' license, or can't use public bathrooms). Since many organizations are aligned against transgender people, it seems like a strictly good thing to clarify that they do believe in protection and equal rights for transgender people.
Except we know exactly who doesn’t
