They didn't get those things by voting, they got them by showing the powers that be that people united can do anything. The DNC exists to channel that energy into something harmless to the existsing power structures. The system is broken and everyone knows it but the most policy wonked liberals. Trump won because he at least understands that people are fed up with neoliberalism. At a certain point people would rather torch the prison than spend another day inside.
