Jocelyn Steward, a health insurance specialist with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said she thought it was the Trump administration that had lost the focus on the proper priorities.

Steward, who voted for Trump for president in three straight elections, said she believed job cuts would focus on early retirements and workers who underperformed. But she said she lost her job, helping military veterans and other understand their benefits, even though she was just in training and had met all her job requirements.

“Layoffs aren’t easy on anybody. But there has been zero compassion for anything or anyone in this process,” said Steward, who lives and works in Georgia. ”A lot of these federal workers are doing good work. Please just show a little empathy.”

They won't learn a goddamn thing. They'll vote for him again.

This won't help anyone. Not the country, not the left, hell, not even the right.

I'm done with empathy for these fucks.

I just can’t get over the contractors who told their stories about how they got absolutely fucked by Donald trump in New York and it tanked their companies because he refused to pay and then said “I’m still going to vote for him.” They’re cucks. He could fuck their wives and they’d still vote for him. A combination of stupid and pussy that I’ve only ever seen in hardcore conservatives. Ironic since being masculine is supposed to be one of their favoured traits. Pretty typical when their definition of “manly” is a dude who applies orange makeup to his neck every day.

You are assuming that he wasn't serious when he said people would not need to ever vote again.

The only promises that he has kept, or has any intention of keeping, are the ones that lead to an authoritarian, fascist government.

They may learn through suffering. The problem with Trump’s first term is that people like her did feel much. He set back climate policy, destroyed alliances, dramatically increased the deficit, and lost more. However, none of that cause her any pain so she kept voting for him. She isn’t wrong about the Dems abandoning her. She just thought the other side was somehow better. Now hopefully she will learn. Unfortunately, there are going to be lots of people that are going to be harmed for the next 4 years for her to learn this lesson.

If she wants empathy, she should try to empathize with the people she hurt and is hurting with her vote. She only seems to think of herself while asking others to be empathetic.
