So will OUR taffifs on electricity, potash, and of course oil.

The citizens of America will pay crazy amounts for power, gas, and most of the fertilizer you grow crops with!

Oh ya! No migrant labour in the fields either - shit even Canada relies on them to harvest our food.

America, you want to treat your closest friend and ally this way?

Either put your orange dog down, or fuck off!

I think he might seriously unleash the biggest man made famine of history, and it's the Americans who will be starving. At some point, it is going to be so expensive to grow crops in the US that farmers will have no choice but to let their crop die in their fields.

Add in that their poultry industry is struggling and borderline decimated by bird flu.

I dunno about the biggest famine in history—it would take a lot of people dying to match the higher death toll estimates for the Great Chinese Famine of 1959-1961. I could see things getting pretty messed up, though: sharp rises in food prices because of lowered yields, the need for imports going up, profiteering on the international market, lower-income people being unable to buy enough calories to survive. Unfortunately, it's likely that the urban poor, rather than the rural white people who are the core of the Republican voting base, would be the ones disproportionaly affected.

But if I remember correctly, the great Chinese famine was caused by one idiot on top and loads of people not having the balls to say no to him.

So you see, it was a totally different situation from now.

Even Stalin would have been impressed.

And we ALL could have moved forward together. We’ve cooperated for 100 years on disasters, wars, disease, crime, science, trade, climate, oil, etc. You name it.

Ho, wait…. america says it doesn’t need friends anymore - unless they are Russian.

Ok.

Have fun!
