Honestly man, I don’t actually have a good solution to this. It’s a shitty situation our modern media has backed itself into.

I’m a big enough man to acknowledge when I’m wrong. Lord knows it happens all the time. My frustration comes from these already tried solutions that aren’t going to solve the issue. Which is that the people you need to convince aren’t going to trust a government funded news source at this point. Not that privatized media is any better for actual factual journalism. You see what I’m saying? The only good journalism now is from books that are well cited, which are hard to actually produce and 99 percent of people don’t read. That’s why this frustrates me so much.

Which is why we need to reframe it more accurately. They government doesn't fund it: we do.
