“Due to changes in U.S. tariff policies, we will be suspending all orders shipping from China to the United States starting today,” writes Anbernic. “We strongly recommend prioritizing products shipped from our U.S. warehouse, which are currently not affected by import duties and can be purchased with confidence.”

I was wanting to wait a while longer on the Retroid Pocket 5 for financial reasons, but the tariffs spooked me that something like this might happen or the price would go way up so I ended up buying one a couple days ago just in case

FYI tarrifs are not calculated at purchase. They're calculated when the device gets inspected by customs. Not out of the woods until it clears em if you don't have it in hand yet

No it didn’t, or I would have held off regardless I just wanted to wait for my tax refund to be a bit cozier, but I had the money… just didn’t want to end up spending a lot more lol

You may still get hit with the tariff if it's shipped from overseas. In such a scenario, you're the importer and likely responsible for any duties and fees.
