Maybe a different religion, or especially political beliefs seems to be a big deal-breaker. Do you still find it worthwhile to keep them in your life?

I do. I have e.g. Christian Conservative friends, and Atheist Liberal ones, etc. I enjoy each one for what they are. I mean, nobody is perfect! (like me ๐Ÿ˜)

Most people don't believe the vulnerable individuals I love very much are entitled to bodily autonomy, or even to life. You probably don't. But I have to find a way to live with you all.

It is difficult, I get it. Though conversely, you can't reach people who you are looking down on and spurning. Arguably this is the effect that lead to Republicans winning in the USA recently - bc rural people felt that their needs were being entirely ignored, rather than being at least taken into consideration.

i.e., the ~~beatings~~ purity testing shall continue until morale improves.

There is correctness, and there is effectiveness. I know that at least in the past I have been incorrect on a few matters.

Note I am not telling you in any way what to do, only adding some context about my own thoughts.

The question you originally posed wasn't about about proselytization but merely co-existing. It's not in my power to convince an ostensibly compassionate human being to stop being cruel and violent to vulnerable individuals. I don't know why; it should be enough to show them the facts, to demonstrate that an alternative exists, but I know from a great deal of experience that it's not persuasive. And knowing I cannot stop you from killing those I love several times a day, I still have to live with you.

And you know what? It's really, really hard.

I don't know what you are referencing. It has not gotten harder for me recently. It's always been like this.
