What's South Korea like to visit? Jetstar have ~$450 return flights....

Yeah pretty good. It’s been a while so it’s probably even better now. I have been to both sides of the border. I can unequivocally say the south is better

both sides of the border

Really? What took you North?

A Chinese plane (joke)

I was there for work. A brief stint setting up communication network for a government entity. Spent a month there. Long periods of boredom interrupted by fascinating excursions.

government entity , eh

doesn't say which government

Wow, ok. So the myth of excursions being heavily curated.....? That true?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Very true. You don’t go anywhere without minder(s)

It'd be really fascinating to visit NK, but I'd be too scared that they'd take me to work in a labour camp.

Call me paranoid.

I jumped at the chance. Call it youthful bravado. But I get what you mean. I’m not even sure they are running civilian type tours anymore.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Like it'd be cool af, but yeah...

I’m tired. I mistook excursions as executions.
