They didn’t fortify their borders in trying to avoid pissing off Germany and then they got invaded anyways in 6 hours. Fascists are always pissed off no matter what you do.

I think it would be very difficult if not impossible to secure our border if the USA decided on military invasion. Nevertheless, appeasement is not the way.

Not meaning to attack here but there's an entire page o wikipedia talking about Denmark in World War 2.

They basically tried to not take sides/stay neutral and ended up being invaded by Germany.
